Meet Jordanna Burke | Aesthetic Nurse

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jordanna Burke and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jordanna, what is the most important factor behind your success?
If I had to identify one key factor behind my success, it would be honesty. I’ve always believed that trust is the foundation of patient care. Being transparent, communicating clearly, and doing what is ethically right builds lasting confidence. I’m also deeply committed to continuous education — medicine evolves, and I believe we must evolve with it. Over the years, I’ve learned that understanding and navigating people’s emotions is just as important as clinical expertise. When you combine skill with empathy, you don’t just treat patients — you build long-term relationships. And for me, that’s the true measure of success.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My career in skin began in 2002, when I worked in a dermatology office specializing in acne. At the time, aesthetics was still in its early stages — it wasn’t the booming industry it is today — and I didn’t yet realize how much the field would grow. What I did know was that I had found something I genuinely loved. That passion led me to pursue nursing school in California while continuing to work full-time. It wasn’t easy, but I was determined to build a strong clinical foundation that would allow me to practice at the highest level.
One of the philosophies that truly sets me apart is my belief that the best injectable is undetectable. The same goes for any aesthetic treatment — it should enhance, never overpower. My goal has always been to preserve individuality while restoring confidence. I don’t want people to look different; I want them to look refreshed, confident, and like the best version of themselves.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with some of the most prestigious practices, building on the knowledge and experience I gained from every role along the way. Each step taught me something invaluable — from technical precision to patient communication to understanding the emotional side of aesthetics.
I’m most proud of the trust I’ve built and the confidence my work brings to people. Aesthetic medicine is deeply personal and incredibly impactful. When someone feels better about how they look, it can positively affect every area of their life — from relationships to career to self-esteem. That transformation is what continues to inspire me.
Right now, I’m especially excited about regenerative aesthetic medicine and peptides. The future of aesthetics is moving toward treatments that stimulate the body’s own healing and rejuvenation processes, and I’m passionate about staying at the forefront of that evolution through continuous education and innovation.
My journey was not easy — balancing full-time work with nursing school and family life required discipline, sacrifice, and resilience. But the challenges strengthened me. They taught me perseverance, humility, and the importance of lifelong learning. If there’s one thing I want the world to know about me and my brand, it’s that integrity and authenticity guide everything I do. This work is delicate, personal, and powerful — and I approach it with deep respect for the trust my patients place in me.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
One of the things I love most about living in Los Angeles is the diversity of experiences within such a short distance. I live in the Valley, work in West Hollywood, and my kids go to school in Calabasas — so I truly experience every side of the city daily. We’re incredibly lucky here. You can go from the beach to the mountains, from vineyards to city nightlife, all within a couple of hours.
If my best friend were visiting, I’d give them a true taste of LA through food, energy, and atmosphere. I’m a foodie at heart, so we would definitely hit some of my staples — sushi at Katsuya, Italian at Jon & Vinny’s, and one of my favorite local gems, Iroha Sushi of Tokyo. For a chic dinner with a fun vibe, Kassi Beach House is always a go-to, and brunch at Croft Alley never disappoints.
Beyond restaurants, I’d make sure we experienced Malibu sunsets, a great hike with city views, maybe a spontaneous pop-up or gallery opening — because LA is always evolving. That’s what makes it exciting. It’s ambitious, creative, and constantly reinventing itself. Every neighborhood has its own personality, and I feel so fortunate to live in a place where you can truly design your lifestyle around what inspires you.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would not be where I am today without the unwavering support of my family, my friends, and my children. They have stood by me through every stage of my journey — through long hours, continued education, and every new endeavor I’ve pursued. Their encouragement has been my foundation.
Most importantly, I want to thank my patients. The work I do is deeply personal and delicate, and it carries a profound impact on how people feel about themselves. The trust my patients place in me year after year is something I never take lightly. It does not go unnoticed or unappreciated. I am truly honored that they choose me to be part of their journey in helping them look and feel their very best.
