We had the good fortune of connecting with Joseph Pacheco and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Joseph, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Life itself comes with risks and does not offer any guarantees to any of us. We all take risks everyday in life. It’s ok to faulie that is how we learn and grow from any mistakes we’ve made. personally I’ve took risks and yes I failed
Plenty of times. I let great opportunities walk passed me because I was afraid of taking on risk but after all the mistakes I was determined to never gave up on myself nor let it bring me down.
When taking risks to achieve goals i look at risk more like trustworthiness or poor decision-making. I like to use a set of rules that has helped me for an example. do I have trust in myself or the people and companies with that risk. Or Am I making a poor decision because realistically i cant afford this risk. Now I look at my position in life am I ok mentally, spritely, and physically and will my finances be ok can I still be positive and not so upset if I need to invest any type of money but end up losing it all and failing. Last rule how does the moment feel once you get that opportunity to take on risk. Is it a Good or bad feeling Always go with your gut inside the risk is not worth it if the feeling and moment is not right try to find the balance its important. The game my be dirty but you the player can keep yourself clean.
Risks really have played a big role in my life and career
One of my teachers from school told me joe in life people live with more regrets then they do accomplishments dont regret dropping out of school dont look back keep moving forward just get to were your going you might have to work 10x harder then your peers go prove us wrong. But when she told me that I truly got inspired and all it did was modavite me even harder to take on risk. Since that day even till today. I’ve been doing what she told me work harder then others prove them wrong. Get to were your going
As I grew i started to understand more the concept of what risk was.
Some people play it safe well others gamble and take risks everyday.
So another way I like to look at Risk is like gambling or its like playing a broad game. Some people Play it smart with stagey well others are not knowledged on the game rules or they play reckless with poor decision-making which ends the game fast for them. I had to learn how to keep that balance and not get to greedy you already won your winning your in a good position cash out, walk away and go home. Well let’s be honest the casino has to close at a serten time and the board game we play has to end with one winner and go back in the box. Chances are you might not win the game but as long as you had fun with limited regrets and the blessing opportunity to play.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Depending on what I’m creating it can be anything from storytelling, political, motivational, deep thought, religious, love, or even educational. But there is so much we as humans can create. Art has allowed me to express my feelings from a realistic point of view in so many ways. Creating itself has helped me to go into different business ventures outside of the music and entertainment industry. I’ve been studying music production since I was a kid I fell in love with music that was my way to escape from the negative reality surrounding me. It truly gave me an opportunity. While some of my friends were getting in trouble I would lock myself in my room and study music notes. I would later find myself going to jail. I knew I had to change something in my life I needed to escape. Music was the way I vented. In 2013 I took the risk and moved away with little to no money and no plans. I didn’t know where I was going I just had a backpack with my music gear and clothes. I ended up becoming homeless in that process until I met actress and music producer Sheryl Roberts. Roberts owned a full acting film and recording studio in Santa Fe, NM. I told her I was homeless but I’m super interested in attending her classes I offered to clean her studios I was so determined to not fail I told her. So, Roberts offered to help me out with free studio time to record any projects I needed in return all she asked from me was a small donation to her nonprofit and community volunteering when I get the chance to help out. So I began to work with her for the next two years while taking vocal lessons at her studio I researched and started to study the business side of music to find out they don’t mix. Later I got the chance to collaborate on a single with recording artist Mike Jones. Performed the song on tour. After leaving Roberts studio with the knowledge and having the chance to work and perform next to a popular act on tour. From an independent perspective I thought about all the types of business opportunities I can create besides music just apply what I’ve learned from music to that new adventure and It’s been working so far I’m blessed to be here with the knowledge I’ve learned! Professionally I know it takes years of practice and studying. Its hard but I knew I had to stay Mentality strong and focused. I was homeless for 5 years, but for those years I did it by choice. I was in search of my own freedom through entrepreneurship. I always had a job and worked 9 to 5 jobs I wanted to think smarter for a better outcome for myself in the future since I grew up in a poverty non educational area. I seen older people work hard to end up struggling in retirement I wanted to beat the odds. I jumped house to house staying with friends. I slept in my car and at the park taking baths in fast food restaurants and inside department stores. I struggled and hustled to save any type of money I got from working any job! I was making about 20k a year at the time and did the math 20 x 5 years is 100k so I started to create this idea and then I went for it. I wanted to struggle now while I’m young and not when I’m old I started to educate myself independently while I saved every dollar to invest in my dream but more importantly I invested into myself! Now my focus is to create opportunities for others to grow and achieve their dreams!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
