Meet Josh Ross Nicholas Rose | Founders & owners – Estate Sale Professionals

We had the good fortune of connecting with Josh Ross Nicholas Rose and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Josh Ross, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The driving force behind my success—and the success of our brand—is the deep passion we pour into what we do, which goes far beyond just “work.” For us, this business isn’t just about estate sales or liquidation; it’s about honoring the legacy of the people and objects we’re entrusted with.
Every item tells a story. Every client has a unique history. And it’s our mission to ensure those stories are preserved, respected, and passed on to new homes where they’ll be cherished again. This isn’t something we approach with a checklist or a transactional mindset—it’s a labor of love. It’s about connection. We see every item as more than an object; it’s a piece of someone’s life, a memory, or a moment in time.
Think about the things you’ve loved in your own life—the treasures you’ve kept, the objects that found a place in your home. When it’s time to part with those things, you want to know they’ll be treated with care, that someone else will see their value just as you did. That’s what we do. We aren’t just “working”; we’re honoring, preserving, and sharing human stories.
But there’s another crucial aspect to our success: balancing our clients’ emotions with professional engagement. It’s a thin line that requires delicate coordination and a deep understanding of the human condition and all its quirks. Every client’s needs differ greatly—what’s upsetting for one may be entirely disengaging for another. Adaptation with grace is essential in a field where emotions run high, and compassion is paramount.
No matter who you are or what your circumstances, you receive the same empathy and care from us as a family member would. It’s this combination of professionalism, adaptability, and heartfelt compassion that allows us to do what we do so successfully and meaningfully.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I wouldn’t call what we do an art—it’s more like stepping into the unknown with purpose. At the core of our work is “the human touch,” a philosophy that guides everything we do. We don’t just clear out spaces; we help people navigate the emotions tied to their belongings with care and understanding.
We started during the pandemic, when neighbors and friends were tackling spring cleaning they’d been putting off for years. People asked for help clearing garages, spare rooms, and homes, and we stepped in. At first, it wasn’t a business—just a way to support our community while making some extra income. But over time, our passion for connecting with people and their stories turned it into something much bigger.
Of course, getting here wasn’t easy. We’ve had long dry spells where we questioned everything, followed by overwhelming busy periods where we could barely catch our breath. But what keeps us going is the unique opportunity to connect with people on such a personal level. Whether it’s helping someone let go of a loved one’s belongings or simply liquidating an Airbnb, every situation is different. Every experience teaches us something new about people, emotions, and the human condition.
I understand if people are skeptical. This industry has a reputation for being cold and transactional. But that’s exactly what we’re working to change. We approach every client with empathy, professionalism, and a genuine desire to help. We want people to see that there’s a better way—one that values connection and compassion over just “getting the job done.” For us, it’s not just about the items; it’s about honoring the stories behind them and the trust our clients place in us.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
A Week in LA with My Best Friend: Adventures, Treasures, and Hidden Gems
If my best friend were visiting, this would be my dream week for them—filled with a mix of relaxation, exploration, and all the quirky, special things that make LA such a fun place to live. As homebodies, we don’t venture out often, but when we do, it’s always an adventure worth sharing. Here’s how I’d show my friend the best time ever!
Day 1: Arrival & Relaxation
•Give my guest a chance to unwind after traveling. We’d keep it simple with a cozy evening at home, catching up and recharging for the week ahead.
Day 2: Thrift & Antique Shopping Crawl
•Stops:
•King Richard’s Antique Mall – A massive space filled with vintage treasures.
•Sherman Oaks Antique Mall – Another favorite spot for unique finds.
•It’s a Wrap! (Burbank) – This unique store sells wardrobe pieces from TV and film productions. It’s like treasure hunting for clothing with a bit of Hollywood magic.

•Start the day at the Melrose Trading Post, a vibrant flea market full of vendors, quirky treasures, and great vibes.
•In the afternoon, explore local estate sales—there’s always a chance to discover something truly one-of-a-kind.
Day 4: Outdoor Adventures

•Afternoon: Bring the dogs to Wattles Park for a relaxing stroll.
•Evening: Visit the Greystone Mansion and Park in Beverly Hills for a serene escape. Movie fans will love recognizing its iconic architecture from films and shows!
Day 5: Foodie Day
•Lunch Stops:

•Pinches Tacos (Sunset Blvd) – Their tacos are incredible, and the Agua de Sandia is a must-try.
•Dinner:
•Twin Dragons (West Pico Blvd) – Authentic Chinese food with fresh flavors and a charming lunch special (orange slices included—an underrated touch I love).
Day 6: Museum Day
•Explore some of LA’s best museums:
•The Petersen Automotive Museum – A dream for car lovers with stunning exhibits.
•The Getty Villa – Enjoy ancient art, architecture, and serene coastal views.
Day 7: Farewell & Relaxation
•Wrap up the week with a leisurely brunch at a cozy local spot.
•Spend the rest of the day taking a final stroll with the dogs, reminiscing on the week’s adventures, and enjoying a relaxed farewell.
This isn’t your typical tour guide-style itinerary, but it’s the way I’d want to share my world with someone I care about. It’s filled with hidden gems, personal favorites, and moments of connection that make LA feel like home. Whether we’re treasure-hunting at an antique mall, soaking up nature, or enjoying a great meal, it’s all about creating memories and showing my best friend a little slice of my life.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We’d like to shout out to our passion for people and making a difference—it’s kind of our thing.
For me, personally, I’ve always been drawn to making an impact through acts of service. My original life plan was to join the Navy—serving with pride, finding a sense of belonging, and maybe making the world just a little bit nicer, one good deed at a time. But, as it turns out, life had other plans for me. Now, instead of a uniform and a ship, I’m armed with a clipboard and a knack for giving old treasures a second chance. Who needs a battleship when you’ve got a box of vintage knick-knacks to save?
My partner’s passion? Same idea, different twist. Their path took them into the world of cosmetology, where they mastered the fine art of hair, beauty, and—let’s face it—part-time therapy. If you’ve ever sat in a stylist’s chair, you know the truth: it’s 50% haircuts, 50% life coaching, and 100% listening to everyone’s juiciest secrets. So naturally, this skill of connecting with people came in handy when we joined forces.
Together, we’ve built a business where we channel these passions into something truly unique. Whether it’s giving a vintage lamp a new home or making an estate sale feel less like a chore and more like a celebration, we’re here to make a difference—with a little humor and a lot of heart.
