We had the good fortune of connecting with Juan Carlos Pliego-gijon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi JUAN CARLOS, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
There is a few things that inspires me, starting off with my core values such as loyalty, love, commitment, and the importance of community can drive a person’s dedication to nurturing relationships and excelling in their career. But none of these can be done without the Influential figures, such as parents, mentors, or historical personalities, can inspire someone to prioritize their relationships and work. These people provide the encouragement and support that can reinforce a person’s commitment to maintaining strong relationships and pursuing career goals, creating a cycle of mutual inspiration.

But at the end of the say its life experiences that we go through that help us inspire and she the person that we want to be.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Im currently focused on two things which is my Health and my Finance Career. I am currently an Asst Manager for a back office department of a Credit Union. I find it a daily challenge, but a good challenge, no day is the same, no issue is the same so it keeps me on my toes, and it requires me to stay updated with the most recent Credit Union knowledge. I feel that what sets me apart from others is that I care about my staff, clientele and my future career goals. I always try my best, sometimes i get too involved that I forget to focus on my home life lol.

Im personally proud of where im currently at in my career but continuously working to improve and move my way up the chain. It was not easy to get where im at, but i trust the process., Even when i lost everything i was able to trust the process and come back even better,

Things that ive learned, even though when it seems life’s over, Trust in god, Yourself and keep on going. DONT STOP!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If a friend was visiting me, i would want to take him to all neighboring cities, from Santa Barbara, for the beautiful builds, culture and food. and the heading north to pass Nipomo, Arroyo Grande, Pismo Beach and San Luis Obispo and stop in Paso robles. All cities provide different views of the Central Coast, from Beach to Vineyards, all different types of foods and the culture. Visiting Mission’s, Visting parks, Tin City(wineries). But for me the most important thing would be who im with.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to shout out a few people. As I become more knowledgeable in the industry of Finance, Business Administration & Social Services, the list grows off how many people i have to thank for teaching and mentoring.

Angelo Naemi, has not just been a mentor, friend and a role model. But he treated me as family and has always been by my side supporting me.

Deyanira Garcia, has helped and mentored to become a great leader in the finance world. She has isnt just my boss, but has become an important person of my career.

Family/Friends, Thank you to those that are present and know the wins and losses ive taken and for pushing me to be better
