Meet Julian Feifel | Music Producer/Songwriter

We had the good fortune of connecting with Julian Feifel and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Julian, we’d love to hear what makes you happy.
Sitting in my music studio in the hills, and creating new music with my co writers, or by myself. My new hummingbird feeder.
Soccer and running up the hiking trails. Integrating my love of music and nature is important to my lifestyle and my home here allows me to do that. I can hop on my bike and ride to the ocean, jump in the waves.
Also, the creative magic! When a melody, lyrical twist or inspiring sound sparks at the perfect moment, it reminds me why I’ve dedicated my life to music.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m in the industry that I love, working on my passion as a music producer and writer. Getting here was not easy, sacrificing saying goodbye to my family and friends back home for the goal of realizing my dreams. I’m proud of myself for coming to a new country, with a different language and culture and taking risk in my life and career. It’s helpful to remind myself that the business is always evolving, you cannot simply depend on your past success. It’s good not to have expectations and be extra grateful when things do work out.
Since being in the US, my work has brought me continued success. Some of my collaborations include singer Sofia Reyes, Actress & Artist Inbar Lavi (Netflix Imposters, Lucifer), singer & dancer Lexy Panterra, and rapper Dax. I received two RIAA Gold awards and reached over 40 million streams on Spotify.
During the global pandemic, this tested us as producers and it was exciting to find new ways to work on music. We had Zoom sessions with artists in countries like Australia, Israel, Finland, Taiwan and Germany. Whether it’s R&B, singer/songwriter, independent, latin or pop, working in completely different genres gets me excited.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Los Angeles is a vibrant city and there’s entreprenuers and atists all around, you can do so many things here so here are a few of my favorite spots to hang with friends
Wisdom Tree Hike: take the trails all the way to Hollywood Sign
The Trails: eat lunch at the bottom of the Griffith observatory hike
Zuma Beach: Malibu day trip, surfing and swimming, the Sunset Restaurant: Fish Tacos
Downtown Art district: art galleries and dinner at restaurant Manuela
The Getty art museum: whimsical Los Angeles must see
Fig Tree restaurant: Ocean Front Walk, Venice. coffee and beach strolls
Hotel Cafe: for live music, showcasing upcoming singer-songwriters, cozy spot with full bar and small bites.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shoutout to my dear friend Toby Gad who is known for his career in songwriting and production with hits like “All of me”(John Legend), “If I were a boy”(Beyonce) and “Big girls don’t cry(Fergie). We grew up together in Munich, and he was a big inspiration for me moving to the USA. Seeing his success reminds me that it’s possible to realize your dreams in music, and I’m very grateful for him connecting me with many talented writers and artists in the industry.
