We had the good fortune of connecting with Juwan and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Juwan, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor for success, personally, is consistency. Being consistent with myself has kept me on the path of elevation necessary for me to continue this journey in artistry and branding. Not only has this allowed me to grow, but it keeps the quality of my work high as I’ve set a standard for myself.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art is my form of self-expression.
The passion I have for my creative process and output are as much healing as it is the desire to release my art to the public. I never pretend to be anybody but myself and that makes my art unique. I don’t chase a style, I’m not looking to jump on to trends, and I’m definitely trying to make sure my music lasts for long time.
Getting to where I am now was never going to be easy. This path that I’ve chosen for myself has opened my eyes to many things I previously couldn’t see. This is humbling to say the least. However, overcoming these challenges has helped me become a better person as I maneuver through life with a new viewpoint.
Lessons on maturity, patience, self belief, consistency, & staying grounded have truly allowed me to be in position to make my dreams, reality.
I want the world to know that I am dedicated to being the best artist and person I can be. The passion I have for creation will always guide my artistry.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The Washington, D.C. metropolitan area is a great area to visit.
Outside of the national landmarks and sites of the nation’s capital, there are great experiences in the city.
Brunch that turns into day parties in DC and a growing nightlife scene have contributed to the immediate fun you can have, however, taking advantage of the area’s great views and scenery is just as fulfilling.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to shoutout anybody who’s supported me and put faith in me during this journey.
Without them, I wouldn’t have made the same amount of progress in music as I have now. They saw potential in me when I first started and encouraged me to keep going, and now I’ve reached a level that everyone can see my potential.
