Meet Kasia G | Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kasia G and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kasia, how do you think about risk?
When it comes to risk, I believe in really going for it and seeing it as an adventure, rather than something to be afraid of. One big risk I took was moving by myself to the US over two decades ago with hardly any money and not knowing English. A lot of people would have been too scared to do that, but I was keen to learn and grow in my new surroundings, even though it was a huge challenge.
A few years later, I decided to do a solo road trip from the East Coast to Southern California. This was back before everyone had navigation apps, so I was just going off an old map book. California has been my home since.
Coming from a safe small town in Poland I never imagined something bad could happen to me. It was crazy, I have to admit, but I was not frightened of the unknown.
Taking big risks has shaped my whole life and career. It pushed me out of my comfort zone and led me to many new experiences and opportunities for personal and professional growth. I am not the type to play it safe, and as my mom says: nothing ever stops me.

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
1. **Tell us more about your art**: My art is a collection of symbolism, weaving together elements of history, personal stories, and universal human experiences. Everything centers around using geometric forms and a limited color palette – black, white, and orange – that is intentional and filled with meaning. Black symbolizes the depth of our past and experiences, representing everything that has shaped us. White is a blank canvas of our future, a new start, and endless possibilities. And the vibrant orange bridges the two, expressing the warmth of the human spirit and the energy that drives us forward.
2. **What sets you apart from others**
What sets my art apart is how I use it to tell stories, especially about the strength and resilience of women. They are the central focus, looking feminine and confident, surrounded by these intricate geometric patterns that symbolize both historical narratives and personal experiences. As a kid, I was drawn to geometric art, and now I honor that inspiration. Geometry as the language of our universe blended with the women in my paintings, creates a connection that runs through every corner of our existence. The large bold geometric shapes in the background symbolize historical narratives, shaping our present. Meanwhile, the women adorned in outfits featuring smaller geometric patterns represent personal and collective experiences that shape our identity. I blend the classic with contemporary elements as a reminder that life evolves, and embracing change is our key to growth.
3. **What are you most proud of or excited about**:
I am most proud of the depth and complexity of every painting. Every single one is crafted with care and attention, designed to express these deep, meaningful symbols and ideas I am excited to keep pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in my art. I don’t want to drift too far from my current style, but I also started working on a more realistic approach and detailed theme. This new way shows a deeper part of me.
4. **How did you get to where you are today professionally**:
My path as an artist has been one of grit and determination. From humble beginnings in Poland to pursuing my dreams in the United States, I faced all kinds of challenges But I never gave up. I just kept practicing, honing my craft, and searching for that unique artistic voice that would allow me to truly express myself. And now, looking back, I can see how every obstacle, every setback, has only made me stronger and more resilient.
5. **Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges**:
No, it definitely wasn’t easy. There were so many times when I wanted to quit doubting myself and my abilities. I have been always very stubborn and I think that helped. That stubbornness, combined with a positive mindset, is what kept me going. I refused to let anything stand in the way of my passion for creating art, and that determination is what allowed me to overcome every challenge that came my way.
6. **What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way**: One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is the power of resilience and perseverance. No matter what obstacles life throws at you, you have the strength within you to overcome them and come out even stronger on the other side. I’ve also learned the importance of staying true to your artistic vision and embracing your unique voice, even when you’re facing your doubts.
7. **What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story**:
I want the world to know that my art is so much more than just a collection of pretty pictures. It’s a reflection of my passion, creativity, and desire to connect with others on a deep level. I want my paintings to encourage people to tap into their own inner artist, to find the beauty in the everyday moments that make life so vibrant and full of meaning. Because art isn’t just something to look at – it’s a friend, a motivator, and a reflection of our best selves. I want to create positive and meaningful experiences that remind us we are in charge of our own lives, painting our days with the colors of what we love and chase after.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting me in Orange County, we would start right here in Laguna Beach. First, we’d grab lunch at Hotel Laguna – they have this great outdoor patio with incredible ocean views.
After that, we’d spend the afternoon exploring the art galleries and shops along Pacific Coast Highway.
For a little break from the crowds, I would take my friend to this hidden gem called Crescent Bay Point Park. It has beautiful viewpoints overlooking the beach – we could just sit on a bench and watch the sunset.
When night falls, we have a few options. We could head to Dana Point and go to this place called 180 Blue at the Ritz-Carlton. They have live music and a stunning oceanfront vibe. Or we could drive over to Corona del Mar and find a spot to watch the sunset over the harbor.
If we’re feeling adventurous, I would suggest the San Onofre State Part. It’s a little further south, but the hiking trails, cliffs, bluffs, and beaches can’t be missed.
And of course, we would have to hit up Newport Beach too. There is this Mexican restaurant called Javier’s with a fun atmosphere. Or we could check out A Restaurant at Crystal Cove that offers great food, and cocktails in a lively setting.
To wrap up the trip, we would take the ferry over to Catalina Island. It’s such a cool little getaway, with tons of history and outdoor activities. The perfect way to cap off our week in Orange County.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First and foremost I want to give a shout-out to my mom who has always been the true hero in my life. Even though she is in Poland, we stay connected every single day. She has been my rock, my cheerleader, and the one who believes in me even when I doubt myself. I also want to give a shout-out to my loved ones who have been by my side every step of the way. They lift me up, encourage and support me.
And of course, I can’t skip a big shout-out to all the collectors who have purchased my artwork. Knowing that my creations reside in their homes, I am deeply grateful. Your belief in my work and your willingness to be a part of my artistic journey means the world to me.
