Meet Katelyn Dowling, Ph.D. | Author and Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Katelyn Lehman, Ph.D. and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Katelyn, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My business partner and I kept asking ourselves, how can we create a service offering that supports people in healing beyond the level of talk therapy? So we leveraged our experience in multicultural community and clinical psychology along with a passion for biophysics to build the infrastructure for people’s deepest transformation. We are so excited to be opening the doors to the Quantum Clinic in 2022!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
When people think about the Quantum Clinic we want them to imagine a warm hug (if you like that sort of thing). Like a spa treatment for your DNA!
The biggest challenge we faced when starting this business was getting clear around our mission and purpose. We asked ourselves, “is it possible to support people in reducing their stress while creating greater levels of coherence in our local communities?”
We believe it is. So we developed a model that combines two research-based interventions, HeartMath and REST (reduced environmental stimulation therapy), along with expressive arts to support psycho-emotional and spiritual integration. We’re holding space for people to have an experience unlike any other wellness offering on the market.
Just imagine what it would feel like if you could actually reset your level of distress tolerance and become more resilient to life’s ups and downs. There is a Nikola Tesla quote that most people recognize these days, which says, “If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.” At Quantum Clinic we allow you to play in that dimensionless space where anything is possible. Using evidence-based frequency protocols to help you to tap into your innate potential for self-healing and deep cellular rejuvenation.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Having lived here for almost twelve years I can definitively say that Los Angeles is an incredibly resilient and magnificent city. There is no way to go wrong when spending a week here. I personally love to take my out-of-town friend to dinner at Lalibela Ethiopian on Fairfax for the veggie combo with fish. If you’ve never had Ethiopian food, it’s definitely worth a visit.
I’d also encourage people to take a walk or bike ride along the Los Angeles River in Frogtown. There are a couple little cafe’s and small businesses to pop into as you enjoy the views of the San Gabriel Mountains. We love watching for great blue heron’s and other bird species who make the river their home.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I certainly wouldn’t be where I am today without the support of my business partner, Dr. Maria Ramos. We are so excited to bring this work to the world for others to experience.
