We had the good fortune of connecting with Kathy Copcutt and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kathy, what’s the most important think you’ve done for your children?
I believe the most important lesson I’ve taught my little one, “if you’re making mistakes, you’re learning.” We all start from ground zero and work our way up. Everyday you wake up is a conscious decision that you’ll keep working towards your goal.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
When I started my site, I wanted to coach others to co-parent in peace and 6 years later it’s evolved into lifestyle and entertainment. One of the things I’ve learned, is that, if you do what you love it will grow into something you’ve never thought it would be. It will be bigger than you’re wildest dreams. If you start something, anything, start it with pure intentions and make sure you’re passionate about it, your spark can cause a fire!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
With COVID, I’d say mask up and let’s go to Laguna Beach. Unfortunately there isn’t a lot we can do right now. If this was pre-covid I would have said let’s go to Solvang! It’s the greatest little town ever. Danish inspired, the people are kinds, close enough to the wineries to pick out a nice bottle of wine and far enough to feel like you’re not in LA and on a vacation. Extremely kid friendly with there Ostrich farm on hand, there’s so much to explore there. The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Huge shoutout to my mom who taught me to go after my dreams, even if it scares me and my son, for teaching what love really is.
