We had the good fortune of connecting with Katie Yaquinto and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Katie, why did you pursue a creative career?
Simple answer. It’s what makes me the happiest. Expressing myself creatively is what I’m meant to do in this life.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am still very early in my career and in a place where I’m exploring and evolving without a lot of pressure. It’s a really fun time for me. Personal growth, inner most thoughts, emotions, movement; these are all themes I’m playing around with. I’m really excited to continue pushing my creative boundaries.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Val’s for tacos, Bouligny for a nightcap, Brennan’s for brunch, and N7 for dinner
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My husband Michael deserves a pretty big shoutout and so do my parents. The strangers that have bought my work as well as my dear friends. I can’t forget about my siblings, my friends, and anyone who has liked, commented, or shared something I’ve created on the socials.
