We had the good fortune of connecting with Katrine Eyer and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Katrine, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
Habits are lifestyles- choices you make on the daily indefinitely, not just for a brief period. One of the habits I live by is to put a 110% into everything I do, whether that be school, work, or family, etc. You simply cannot succeed by doing things half-baked. It won’t always be easy or guaranteed, but it will always be worth it. You rest better at night knowing you’ve done everything you could. In addition, you set an example for those around you to work hard and put their all into what they do. However, you also have to know when to give up. Most people’s advice is to never quit, but you’ll only drown if you hang on to a sinking ship. When you’ve put everything into trying to make something work, and it still doesn’t, you have to let go.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Weldco is a woman-owned small business in a male-dominated industry. People don’t take you seriously if they’re convinced you have no idea what you’re doing. So what do you do? You just prove them wrong. Our quality and durability never wavers. Our glass racks speak for themselves. They are the best in the industry, and our customers know that.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Los Angeles is so full of life and culture. Aside from your typical trips to the famous amusement parks in the area, visits to gems such as Olvera Street and the LA Farmer’s Market are a must. Biking down the Strand from Redondo Beach to Santa Monica Pier would create many fun (though tiring) memories as well. That’s not even mentioning all of the amazing food places like Pink’s, Tommy’s, and the numerous creative and delicious food trucks. These are definitely missed during this current pandemic.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We are a family-owned and run small business. Most, if not all, of our success is thanks to our employees who support us with their hard work and endless loyalty. We want to recognize everything they do for us on the daily.
