We had the good fortune of connecting with Keith Robinson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Keith, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
Let me begin by saying there are two of us, that make up our brand. Brother in-laws to be exact, but friends first. We share the same values and principles, so I speak for both of us here when I explain value that matters most to us? Easy—integrity. It’s the heartbeat of everything we do, especially in the wine world. We believe in keeping things real—whether that’s being honest, putting in the hard work, or paying attention to the little details that make a big difference. It’s all about delivering quality, whether it’s the wine or the experience, with a whole lot of passion and heart behind it.

But it’s not just about the product. For ua, it’s about making people feel good and creating moments that stick with them. We want every person to walk away with a smile, a laugh, and maybe even a memory that’s a little bit magical. Our wine brand is all about that laid-back, no-pretension hospitality—where you can just be yourself, have a good time, and enjoy something crafted with care.

And hey, I’m not perfect, nor is my brother in-law —I’m always pushing myself to be the best version of who I am, aiming to show up with my A-game and I can say the same for him. But we don’t take ourselves too seriously. Life’s too short, so we mix in humor, authenticity and a genuine vibe (paired with a little music since we’re extra cool) to make sure everyone feels seen and appreciated.

At the end of the day, it’s about bringing people together with great energy, and a whole lot of kindness and in our case that’s around a bottle or two of wine. That’s our jam, and we’re all in!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
That’s an interesting question as the lines between personal and professional often get blurred together. As a small business within the wine industry, there is never a dull moment and it varies depending on the time of year. We’ve recently been planning our 2025 production, which involves things like identifying what wines we want to produce, sourcing fruit, what volume, when they’ll be released, etc. We’re planning tasting and wine club member events. We manage our website, social media, and email marketing. There are ongoing compliance related items to address with various government agencies. (For some reason, they don’t make it easy to make and sell alcohol or work with agricultural products.) We explore sales avenues and collaborate with peers. At certain times of the year, there is harvest, the fermentation/production process, blending, bottling, working on labels, and sourcing materials such as barrels, bottles, corks, and more. It’s such as competitive industry and prices keep going up and up. More recently, there are tariff and international trade issues that impact our business. Things are always in motion. We’re always being vigilant and managing the health of the business.
Being an entrepreneur isn’t for the faint of heart, and the wine business is no exception. Making wine is easy. Running a business…not so much. We’re no strangers to the wild ride of owning a business. Every day brings a new challenge, but we see those challenges as motivation—something to fuel us to overcome the next obstacle. The constant is that we’re two hardworking guys. We have a blast, push a few boundaries, and proudly wear who we are on our sleeves.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
A whole week?! Gentlemen, start your engines! The “best time ever” in one week with us would be all about great food, great music, and great wine and some crafty homemade cocktails all before one last sip of Weller before bed. But hey, let’s not get ahead of ourselves—here’s a quick itinerary:

Morning: Coffee and OJ with a view of the Pacific Ocean, followed by 15 minutes of pure joy with our adorable dogs, then a light breakfast to fuel up.
Late Morning: Farmers market for the freshest finds, then a pit stop at one of our local taco joints for some al pastor tacos and a cold beer.
Afternoon: A trip to wine country for tastings, followed by cheese, charcuterie, and wood-fired pizzas/flatbreads.
Evening: Clean up and get the cool, trendy shoes on for pre-party craft cocktails at our living room bar, then rideshare to a killer tapas spot in town. Oh, and of course, we’re bringing at least one bottle of wine from home to share.
Late Night: Back home for some great music and a nightcap.
But, this is Southern California! There is always something going on to factor in. Great options depending on the time of year would be going to SoFi or Crypto.com for a NFL or NBA game. There might be a killer concert or comedy show to go see. Cigar lounge? Maybe. Speakeasy. Likely. We could hit the beach, visit a museum, go golfing, hiking, biking, or swimming, etc… but we’re all about food and wine, haha. Honestly, every day with us is a little different—depends on the company and what kind of vibe we’re feeling.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Our first shoutout is to our supportive family who has allowed us to go on an uncharted adventure into the world of wine. We’re lucky to have very encouraging and open-minded spouses and wonderful extended families. Our second shoutout is to the wine community of Paso Robles and Santa Barbara County. We’re very fortunate to have great relationships with friends and colleagues who’ve given advice or offered to lend a hand. This characteristic is a calling card of the California’s Central Coast, and we’re so grateful to have support. There are too many to list them all, but some special friends include Jacob Toft, Emercy, Herman Story, Desparada, Ultima Tulie, and Terre et Sang.
We truly can’t thank our friends and family enough. They’re an integral part of our journey as we turn a life’s dream into reality. Cheers for what’s to come!
