We had the good fortune of connecting with Kelda Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kelda, what’s the most important thing you’ve done for your children?

For me, it is the hard work, commitment, and discipline that could be the most important thing I want to impact on my children. Owing to the fact that they might not take the path that I took but those mentality will get them to be who they want to be.
It isn’t about the child having a perfect childhood but about the character-building memories that they can remember when they grow up. Having a mentality that they can be whoever they want to be as long as you put in that work.
No one ever thought about me, being a rapper, entrepreneur, or an artist I would be. But I dreamed big, worked hard for it, and managing to get up to the next level of what I can be.
Think of it like planting a seed, not building a cage. I nurture their curiosity, celebrate their wins, and teach them the power of resilience. I show them that the world is their stage, and they get to choose the spotlight, the costume, the entire damn show. I want them to realize their potential is limitless, the world is waiting to be explored, a masterpiece waiting to be created.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What keeps me busy is being me, handling what I want me to be. First, as an artist, I am writing songs, testing my melodies, connecting with co-artist, events hosting, . Being an artist can make me occupied already.
Then, handling my brand, Tamz, is one hell of involvement that I need. Crafting new products, checking in with my team, exploring my options of models. I’m already juggling my time with this 2 professions that I’m taking.
Handling Digz Media Group. Meeting with clients, research with brand management, taking consultation management, and everything that needs to be done.
I get to where I am today by being me, not just “me”, “me” but being the best of what I can be. My journey wasn’t smooth, it’s a cliche but moving forward in life is a rollercoaster, uphill climbs and sparkling moments. Dealt with doubts, rejections, chaos, and bumpy roads. I learned to dance with fear, sing louder than the haters, and build my brand piece by piece. Now, Tamz isn’t just hats; it’s a stage for dreamers, a platform for everyone to rock their own rhythm. You’ve got your own melody, dance to it like nobody’s watching.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

So, on the first day, we’ll visit Caffe Trieste in the morning to have a coffee in the morning. That’s when we’ll catch up with each other. Then, we’re gonna have a soak our feet at North Beach and I’ll let my bestfriend sink in the vibes of California. At night, we’ll stop by the Golden Gate Theatre to have a few cocktails. Ofcourse, we’re gonna have a talk about life. You know how it differentiates the conversation when you’re having a coffee in the morning and drinking booze at night.
On the second day, in the morning we’ll take a walk Golden Gate Bridge for breathtaking city views. After that, we’ll be seeing the magnificent sunset at Pacifica and, of course, that’s the perfect time to take instagrammable pictures.
On day 3, we’ll be spending our whole day at Santana Row. In the morning, we’ll start our day with brunch at Farmer’s Table. After that, I’ll take her to either the San Jose Museum of Art or the Tech Museum. At night, we’ll end our day with live music and cocktails at a rooftop bar, maybe with Cielo Rooftop Bar.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?

I want to dedicate this shout out to all of the Tamz models, who put in hard work and effort to help expand my brand. These are not just Tamz’s “models”, they are my girls.
We don’t just take a shoot of the brand and then get on our merry way. We have each other’s back, we brainstorm, get to have a laugh, and have meaningful conversations with. These are the people who are pushing me from behind to move forward.
