We had the good fortune of connecting with Kevin Garcia and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kevin, what’s your definition for success?
Success is defined in the dictionary as “the favorable or prosperous termination of attempts or endeavors; the accomplishment of one’s goals.” Everyone has their own definition of success, some believe it’s tied to materialistic items, others believe it is spiritual, and some believe it is a life’s journey to finding out what this means to you personally. I believe success shares a bit of every single one of these belifes, because without faith there is no motivation and without motivation there is no purpose and without purpose there is no destination. One must create goals for every step of the way and outline a plan on how to achieve these goals, and only then once you achieve these goals, will you find yourself by your own definition successful. One last important part that defines success to me is the ability to reflect. John C Maxwell once said “Without failure there is no achievement”. Learning from our past failures is crucial, however i find it equally vital to reflect on our accomplishments as there is always room for growth. So never settle for today’s victories as tomorrow will hold new challenges with a set of new skills for you to master.

I have gotten to where I am today with the help of my business network. I have been able to connect with tons of amazing professionals over the course of my time during school as well as outside programs and networking events, being able to reach out for help has allowed me to take my business to the next level! It was not easy at first, however, with determination and hunger to succeed I have been able to overcome adversity and strive for greatness. The most important lesson I have learned is the power of surrounding yourself with successful individuals who are further along in their career, this will allow you to learn many valuable lessons and gain experience that will help save you time and find success!
I want the world to know that my success thus far is only a mirror reflection of those around me and my team’s hard work/ability to help our clients in every way possible. The reason clients choose to work with me is because they do not only have access to my resources but all of my teams shared expertise and dedication to helping them with what matters most and that is homeownership! A place to call home, where last memories are made with friends and family!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take a drive around the cities, visiting some of the most iconic tourist spots such as Santa Monica Pier, 3rd street promenade, and Hollywood. Great places to visit and hang out at are our amazing museums such as The Getty Center, The Griffith Observatory, and my personal favorite The Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens. LA is filled with amazing restaurants and it would be impossible for me to share all of my favorite places, however, downtown Culver City has plenty of cafe restaurants that are great for breakfast. If you enjoy sea food just as much as I do, the San Pedro Pier has one of the best seafood restaurants. You can not come to LA without taking a trip to all of the awesome amusement parks we have, Six Flag Magic Mountain, Knotts Berry Farm, and Disneyland. Lastly, my personal favorite place to visit is Catalina Island, this island is filled with fun things to do from relaxing on the beach resort to ziplining through the forest. There are plenty of restaurants to dine at. The boat ride to the island is always a nice experience.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I dedicate my success to the many role models and mentors in my life as mentioned previously in my last interview. My parents for helping instill a hard work ethic in me since a child, my older brother for helping me gain the confidence to take risks and striving for greatness. My uncle for the many life and business lessons to help ensure I don’t make the same mistakes he did. My entire family as a whole for their love and strong support system they provide me with. And now I recognize my broker Odest Riley for being a mentor who has helped me launch my business off the ground and get to where it is today. There are countless of books I would like to recommend however for anyone looking to get started in the world of business and entrepreneurship, “Rich dad Poor dad” by Robert Kyosaki. This book has helped teach me not only important business and entrepenuershup skills but also holds valuable life lessons that can be applied to all aspect of life no matter where you are today. Most importantly I like to thank my clients for putting their trust in me, without them I would not be where I am today.
