Meet Koichi Macgregor | Brawn Tattoo Model

Hi Koichi, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
The main reason I wanted to pursue my artistic career is to inspire and have a positive outlook on the world with sharing my vision through my eyes with photos and videos to promote individuality and inspiration with my modeling and tattoos with being a plus size male in the industry with a artistic outlook and promoting mental health awareness.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As I wanted to pursue my modeling it was a lot bumps and curves in my career with passionate about representing male models who are plus size and big and tall with a representation and promoting mental health was a huge factor because as someone who suffered with mental illness at 22, I really wanted to keep going no matter what my surroundings said about what my vision and I was truly adamant of what I wanted to truly make my dreams and ambitions come true. I truly was never giving up at what I wanted and I used my Buddhist practice by making positive causes in the community and chanting Nam Myoho Renge Kyo as a tool to achieve the greatest possible way to keep pursuing and encouraging people on my instagram platform with a positive influence to inspire the instagram world with my captions, fashionable looks and being heavily tattooed in the modeling world as being advocate for mental health awareness, never would picture myself being someone who is influencing the world of my platform and my daily life with my struggles in the past with building my confidence overtime and I am really content and happy where I am at currently with my way of my style and how much coverage of my tattoos I’m gotten finished and the story keeps writing every day as new chapters of my life are flourishing a beautiful flower on a sun beamed on a hot spring breezy day.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
There is a lot of special places to do in Los Angeles, sometimes I like to take them to unique art places and even thrift shops with unique vintage clothes and even art and I would like to go out of this world restaurants with a simple menu and chill lighting and vibes all around.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Well I have four people in my life that I want to dedicate to my successes in my life is good friend Ricardo Camargo because he’s been there as a good friend and phenomenal artist to put my artistic vision on my body with tattoos representing my parents on my hands and my torso, ribs, back and my whole neck and head tattoo representing my Japanese in it’s entirety and making my tattoo dreams come true with his beautiful artistic eye and vision on my skin, second would be my friend Elliot Paulson for helping me become sober with his encouragement and guiding me to the right light of beams through his words and outlook on a better way of life and being my good friend as well, third my good friend Mark Franco for being my long time friend and barber when I used to have hair and inspiring me to pursue getting tattooed and as being brawn model and pushing me to go for my dreams and the last person would be my mother Yoshiko Gregg for always believing in my vision and always b supportive no matter what and always being there when I needed a right path to achieve with her passionate and wholesome heart with love and understanding who I am as a whole.
