We had the good fortune of connecting with Monique Hale and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Monique, what do you attribute your success to?
I work hard and never give up. I pour my heart and soul into my business, put my customers first and I think that contributes to the success of my business. Healthy hair starts at EBLA, we take pride in our work and ensuring and educating our clients on how best to care for their hair. Extensions have always gotten a bad wrap as not done correctly they damage your hair. At EBLA we believe that if extensions are done properly with one of our proprietary techniques you can grow your hair and make it healthier, while looking amazing.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I was born an entrepreneur and its shown up over there years in everything I do. I’ve always been independent and had a vision, working for others taught me plenty, but from an early age I saw a bigger and brighter future for myself. Some people are natural born leaders and I consider myself very blessed to be one of them. I saw an opportunity to help women look and feel amazing, I went for it and have never looked back. I believe it takes a village in life and business and you are as strong as the people and team around you. I never go at it alone and have been very blessed with amazing people who have helped me to get where I am going along the way. When I need support or help navigating something that is outside of my expertise, I look to my incredible team. I also believe that surrounding yourself with people who lift you up is the best way to stay up.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My perfect Los Angeles weekend: Friday: First stop Blue Bottle Coffee in Studio City, then onto Extension Bar LA for glam, then off to Erewhon Market in Venice to pick up some yummy vegan treats before we spend the day at the beach basking in the sun. Saturday: An early morning facial with Crystal Koro, an afternoon stroll through LACMA and dinner at Il Pastaio in Beverly Hills. Sunday: Morning meditation, Hike at Fryman Canyon and brunch on the back patio of Plant Food Wine on Abbott Kinney. HEAVEN ON EARTH.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Natasha Scott gave me my start and I wouldn’t where I am today without her, Jules Litwak who has supported me beyond measure, my team or my amazing clients.
