We had the good fortune of connecting with Kori Lynae and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kori, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
My favorite affirmation is “I am enough, what I do is enough, all that I have is enough.” I think it’s my favorite because it “covers” everything in a way. “I am enough” affirms that regardless of how I may be feeling about myself or what is going in my life, I am never less than. “What I do is enough” reminds me that it’s totally okay for me to have highly productive days and days where I don’t even check the first thing off of my to-do list, I don’t have to overwork myself. “All that I have is enough” keeps me grateful, I remind myself that everything and everyone that I have in my life are blessings and I truly deserve all of the good things that I have.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
A little alarm goes off in my head when I’m asked about my career, I feel like I do so many different things and wear so many different hats that it’s hard for me to really pin point what I do. My Healing Corner has always been a source for my spiritual healing, it started as a part-time candle business almost two years ago and it’s become so much more since then. On top of chandlery and my spirituality, my knowledge of crystals has allowed me to provide lithomancy readings, create a variety of social media accounts centering spirituality and healing, and provide products like crystal kits! I like that I provide services, products, and just general knowledge and fun advice. I’d like to think that what sets me apart from others is that I’m always in the same realm but going in different directions. Staying true to who I am is very important to me so starting out was very natural for me. I started on Twitter sharing my affirmations, crystal info, and just my day to day practices and how I heal. I was able to connect with so many amazing people and on top of the candles, I was developing a wide range of people in my audience, social media has been the biggest part of my career. Easy would not be the word but hard wouldn’t be either! I think it’s important to challenge yourself, try new things, & listen to your audience so I’ve definitely tried to expand my brand and set high goals for myself. I would like the world to know that just like the rest of the world, I am always growing, learning, and healing. Remember that you are your number one fan, push yourself, think for yourself, and celebrate your accomplishments!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My top priority would be open spaces and boba! We would have to do boba daily, Roasting Water, Ding Tea, & Redstraw are my absolute favorites & I’d shoot for something new every day for variety! I love the Arboretum especially on a gloomy day, walking around and looking at all of the beautiful flowers, peacocks, and waterfalls is something I could do all day. Keeping us active with something like a hike up Sturtevant Falls is something that would also be on the to do list, having a waterfall as the final destination is the best! You can never go wrong with a drive up the coast, listening to music with good snacks (and boba of course). I feel like there’s so much to see and being able to stop and get glimpses at everything makes for a good experience!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d love to dedicate my shoutout to my boyfriend, Derek, who has always believed in me and supports me in any & everything that I do and always reminds me to keep going. I’d also like to dedicate it to my mom for always providing her insight and creative opinion and my dad for inspiring me and pushing me to new heights.
