We had the good fortune of connecting with Kourosh Beigpour and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kourosh, why did you pursue a creative career?
I have always felt there should be something more to life rather than ordinary living. So, I tried to follow that feeling to fill the void.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Talking about art to me is the same as talking about life, every single moment of awareness. I can not say it was easy, because life is not easy. There is always a new challenge, some we can overcome or some we cannot, but what keeps me going is the hope of life’s new discoveries.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Certainly, I would take him/her to the broad museum iN downtown LA, Getty museum, few drinks in Malibu beach, a long hike and lastly Huntington library.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
To be honest, I have to give all the credit to the whole humanity and mother earth. Of course, there is always a few special person, ideas or places that we get more connected or attache to. To me, mysticism, Yoga or a piece of art dating back 800 years has the same effect that a tree behind our window has. I owe what I achieve – if any – to every great artist, philosopher and poet from now to the ancient time.
