We had the good fortune of connecting with Krystal Lambert and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Krystal, what do you want your legacy to be?
When I was a child, I used to dream about being an actress, an artist, a writer … of being on the stage, performing and delivering speeches. I didn’t know then that my talents and passions were connected to a deeper purpose that would someday become apparent to me through various experiences.

Later in life, I rose through progressive roles in Corporate America. As I did, I began to see that my purpose was making a difference in the lives of others – to inspire them, uplift them, motivate them to live out their own dreams and become the best versions of themselves. That’s when it all started coming together.

Today, I am actively working on the legacy I aspire to leave behind. I am working in the film industry, running my own marketing and communications business, coaching public speaking and pursuing other creative endeavors. My hope is to ultimately be a good and faithful servant to God, a loving member of my family, a caring friend and a person whose life enriches others’ in what I do. I firmly believe that a life lived in the service of others is a life worth living.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Actors often say, “If I didn’t act, I’d die.” And, in my own special way, I can certainly relate. Ever since I was a kid, creative expression has been so much a part of my life that it has become deeper than a passion; it’s a part of my soul that craves what I do. And because it comes from a place of genuine, visceral love, I’ve fortunately found success in pursuing it.

Years ago, I studied communications at the University of Florida and later earned my MBA. Around my degrees, I managed to rise through the corporate ladder from intern to assistant vice president within major Fortune 500 companies and large organizations in less than 10 years. My career started with The Walt Disney Company, where I served in many diverse disciplines – ranging from stints with Disney Research and Walt Disney Imagineering, to College Recruiting (marketing), to Safety Communications and more. The best truly came last with Executive Communications – when I was honored to take on the responsibility of supporting the presidents of Disney World, Disney Parks – U.S. and France and other senior-level executives throughout the organization. Much of my success I credit to that role and to the leaders and mentors who guided me through it.

These days, I continue to lean on that experience in my work. In one capacity, I lead marketing and communications for Divinity Pictures – a full-service film production company that concentrates on creating Hollywood content through its in-house library of properties. The company was founded by Producer Abrraham Rockferry, who has been in the industry for nearly two decades and previously worked as co-president of the Asian International Office of FilmEngine Entertainment – producers of “The Butterfly Effect,” “Snow White and the Huntsman,” “Raise Your Voice,” “Lucky Number Slevin,” and other blockbuster films. Right now, at Divinity Pictures, we are working on a psychological crime-thriller film called “The Lost Identity,” which has already secured two potential distribution deals and letters of intent from well-known talents, including Joseph Millson (“Casino Royale” and “The Last Kingdom”), Jesse Kove (“Cobra Kai” and “Taste of Love”) who is son of Martin Kove, and Glenn Tabor (multiple GRAMMY Award-winning music producer and audio engineer).

In another capacity, I run my own business that offers marketing and public speaking coaching services. And I also engage in other artistic pursuits. As a speaking coach, I work closely with clients to help them master speeches, interviews and on-camera delivery by focusing on preparation, practice and delivery techniques. My current and upcoming clients come from various backgrounds, including real estate, photography, acting, film, and pageantry and philanthropy – enhancing the diversity of perspectives that contribute to client learning and development. The methods that I teach are derived from 13 years of experience with helping top-level executives prepare for, deliver and promote their talks and interviews. This experience is now a wonderful gift that I can offer others who want to master the art of public speaking.

While my path has certainly been paved with obstacles through the years, I trust that every challenge has prepared me for the next mile and will make it sweeter for me to eventually look back on the journey with gratitude in my heart. Life has been quite a ride so far, and I’m truly grateful – not just for the opportunity to do what I love – but more importantly, for the people who have made it worth living.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The entire state of California is rich in beauty, topographical diversity and sheer magnificence – L.A. is certainly different! In its full glory, the city offers so much to see and experience, especially for art and movie lovers, like me. But truly, if you’re anywhere in the state, there’s so much to do – really, anything you desire – based on what interests you. Outside of L.A., one of my favorite cities is San Diego because of the convergence of old and new, historic preservation nestled within modern society, and all in all, it’s such a vibrant community. I’d definitely suggest checking it out because, on so many levels, it won’t disappoint. Right now, parts of Cali are still in recovery mode, following the tragic fires, but there are still many parts of it that are unaffected, passable and certainly worth the trip.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Yes, I’d love to! There are so many people who have taught, led, mentored, nurtured and inspired me to be who I am today and chase my dreams. This shoutout is for them: my family, friends, leaders, mentors, coaches, colleagues and others who have made a difference in my life so far. I want to thank every single one of them for believing and investing in me, and giving me the chance to pay it forward for others – just as they did for me.
