We had the good fortune of connecting with Kymbra Li and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kymbra, what’s your definition for success?
I used to define success as having degrees and a job that made a lot of money, now I define success as being able to wake up everyday and choose exactly what I want to do and working for myself.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
After I got stuck back in America for quarantine, I opened my own business called MILKDIT CONCEPTS. I do everything from writing and recording music, voiceovers, acting, comedy, art projects and I am venturing into designing clothes now. I even perform Topless Comedy on OnlyFans! It’s hard not knowing where your next paycheck will come from and having to hustle all your own opportunities while not having a steady source of income, but I know I’m walking my true purpose and the universe will provide.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
In Los Angeles, I would recommend catching a show at The Comedy Store or Hollywood Improv and taking a hike to the Hollywood sign of course! In my hometown of New Orleans, I would recommend going on a carriage ride in the French Quarter and sipping on a Bloody Mary from Pat O’Briens, then stuffing your face with beignets from Cafe du Monde. Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Perhaps not a person, but I owe who I am today to the country of China for allowing me to lead a lifestyle where I could hone my crafts and still support myself with a ‘real job’ until I was ready to start my own business.
