We had the good fortune of connecting with Laura Del Mar and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Laura, how do you think about risk?
I believe that risk is necessary for progress. The best thing is always outside the comfort zone, risking getting out of there and fighting for what you want always brings positive things, changes, growth, learning. Taking risks has been the most important role in my life and career. Moving to another country, alone, with a different language and starting from scratch has been the most important but at the same time most valuable adventure of my life. You are never the same after taking a risk and there is always something new waiting ahead.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am an actress, my work is the study of the human being, that is why I am a faithful believer that each person has their magic and their special touch, so what differentiates me from others is the very essence of what I am, my thoughts and my choices within my art. I am proud to see everything I have achieved by following my passion: learning English at the age of 27 to come to this country to do what I love was my biggest challenge, adapting to a new language, a new culture and understanding art from a more extensive and unlimited point of view. Along this path I have learned that staying humble is the greatest strength, that working hard has its results and that intuition is never wrong.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I live in Hollywood so first I would take her to the iconic spots like the Dolby Teather, Chinese Teather, the walk of fame and the Hollywood sign. Breakfast on Beachwood café and then hiking in Runyon Canyon. Santa Monica pier then Venice beach to walk the beach and the canals and ending the day watching the sunset in a rooftop. then a beer in Hinano Cafe.
the griffith observatory, the big houses in beverly hills and to walk Rodeo Drive.
one of the most important places: THE BEVERLY CINEMA to watch a movie at midnight, but before, some food in Tacos 1986!
The Groove, the Academy Museum, Karaoke in koreatown, thai food in Night+Market Song.
Tour in warner Bothers and Universal Studios Theme Park!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My parents. I live far from them, and they have been my best support on this journey!
