We had the good fortune of connecting with Laura Linda Bradley and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Laura Linda, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Community is at the heart of everything we do! I think people now more than ever are searching for community, searching for a sense of comfort and acceptance. I wanted to grow a creative community where ALL felt welcome, heard and respected. I and the incredible guests who have supported the podcast over the first 2 Seasons believe that creative education, insight into our industry as well as inspiration should be accessible for all!
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I had wanted to start a podcast for sometime and in the Spring of 2020 I finally had the time. What’s My Frame? was an opportunity to bring together and spotlight the countless creative minds that bring to life the entertainment industry. If you’ve ever been on set you know there’s more than a hundred people who are excellent at their job and love what they do! Beyond the folks on set there’s casting directors, producers, costume designers, agents and so many others that have worked to make that filming day possible; yet we rarely get to hear from the creatives behind the camera. I believe any great project is a collective effort and I wanted the podcast to spotlight all of those artists.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’m a union gal! The only way we were able to safety get back to work in 2020 and have continued to safety be on set is thanks to the dedication and tireless efforts of SAG-AFTRA and our sister unions! I am so grateful for the mountains they moved, because without them I and countless others wouldn’t have been able to do what we love! I’ve had the honor of being involved in union service for many years now; and I always encourage actors to get involved, educate themselves & use their voice. Getting your SAG-AFTRA card is only the start of your journey as an actor.
