Meet Lauren Beauchamp | Owner of Los Angeles Sculpt

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lauren Beauchamp and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lauren, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
Deciding to pursue a career in fitness, social media, and entrepreneurship was terrifying, but deep down I knew I was meant for more than just playing it safe.
I was working a corporate job when I got laid off, and that unexpected moment pushed me into teaching barre and pilates full-time — something I had always done on the side and genuinely loved. After a few months, I realized I never wanted to go back to corporate life. I wanted to build something of my own, to work for myself, and to pour my energy into creating a brand and business that aligned with my passions.
That’s when I decided to take the leap of faith and start working toward opening my own fitness studio, Los Angeles Sculpt. I’m still in the early stages — figuring out the logistics, building the brand, and creating the foundation for what I hope becomes a beautiful space and community. It’s definitely scary, and I’m still very much in the “risky” part of the journey, but I’m also incredibly excited and lit up by the process.
Taking this risk has shown me that following your passion is always worth it, even when it’s uncomfortable or uncertain. If your heart keeps pulling you in a direction, there’s usually a reason.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is called Los Angeles Sculpt — it’s a pilates and fitness brand currently in its early stages, but it’s something I’ve dreamed about for years. The vision is to create a sleek, empowering studio experience offering x former pilates, heated mat pilates, yoga sculpt, and yoga flow. But even more than that, I want Los Angeles Sculpt to be a lifestyle and a community — something that inspires people to feel confident, strong, and consistent in both their bodies and their lives.
What sets this studio apart is the intention behind it. I plan to have two separate rooms: one dedicated to the x former machine, and the other a beautiful studio space for mat-based classes. That gives the brand room to evolve — whether it’s expanding into new class formats or adapting to future fitness trends — without being boxed into just one modality. I want it to feel elevated but welcoming, challenging but supportive. A space that people look forward to walking into.
Getting to this point hasn’t been easy. After getting laid off from my corporate job, I took a leap of faith and started teaching pilates and barre full-time. I realized I never wanted to go back — I wanted to build something of my own. Since then, I’ve been slowly but steadily laying the groundwork for the studio — filming content, learning the business side, creating the brand. There have been challenges, of course: self-doubt, financial risk, imposter syndrome — but what’s carried me through is staying connected to my “why.”
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that you don’t need to have everything figured out to start. If you wait until it’s perfect, you’ll never take the leap. Building something from scratch takes faith and a lot of patience — but it’s also one of the most rewarding things you can do.
What I want people to know about Los Angeles Sculpt is that it’s more than a workout — it’s a space where people come to transform not just their bodies, but their mindset. It’s still early, and I’m still in the thick of the building phase, but I know this is just the beginning of something really special.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Malibu and Santa Monica have a very special place in my heart — I went to Pepperdine University in Malibu, and now I live in Santa Monica. These two cities are some of the most amazing places I know, full of beautiful beaches, great energy, and a laid-back yet vibrant lifestyle.
If my best friend was visiting, I’d start the day with a pilates class (taught by me) to get moving and energized, then head up to Malibu for smoothies at SunLife and the hike that is behind Pepperdine’s campus — a spot that means a lot to me. Afterward, we’d spend the afternoon at the beach laying in the sun, swimming in the ocean, and attempting to play spike ball. To end the day, we’d head back to Santa Monica for a cute dinner at Elephante, dressing up and enjoying the sunset vibes.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I definitely wouldn’t be where I am without the support and encouragement I’ve had along the way.
My faith has played a huge role in keeping me grounded through all the ups and downs. Listening to the Joel Osteen podcast daily has really helped me stay hopeful and reminded me that everything is unfolding in God’s timing — even when things feel uncertain. That mindset has kept me moving forward, especially in those moments when I’ve questioned the path I’m on.
I’m also so thankful for the other studio owners and instructors who believed in me and gave me space to grow as a teacher, and for the community I’ve found through fitness. And of course, my friends and family who continue to support me and speak life over my goals — having that kind of love around me has made such a difference while building something from the ground up.
