We had the good fortune of connecting with Leoren Davis and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Leoren, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I think taking risk can be detrimental but also beneficial if executed correctly. Funny thing is, there is really not a right way to go about it. I think it is more so putting yourself in headspace of having confidence and drive to make anything happen. Especially when it comes to art which is mad subjective these days. But if you believe in yourself when it comes to making certain moves, I think your peers and audience will see that and do the same.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a Music Producer. I am most proud of my progression and dedication to an art form that is mad saturated. But I believe what sets me apart from most is my intricate way of making music. I feel like I implement so many elements in my music that anyone would enjoy whether you are an artist, producer, dancer, or just the average listener. It’s definitely wasn’t easy getting to this level. Being myself is what made the process fun and the challenges that came with this journey more so levels to complete in a video game, if you will. I think if you are being a genuine person in any setting you will succeed. It makes it easier, in my experience. to weed out the people that you dont want or need to deal with.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m from San Bernardino Ca. Not much to do here. There are mad surrounding cities that have theme parks, dope food places and things. Its hard to not find something to do in California!
As far as a food place I would take someone for them to enjoy their experience, is “Main Chick Hot Chicken”! Visiting cities like Los Angeles is always a great site to see. Its diverse so you get to experience the culture.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
So many people to thank for my upbringing in my career. A Lot of people have contributed in some kind of way whether it was advice, providing me opportunity to advance in my career, and even as far as investing. My boy Curtiss King is one of those people that has done all of those things. Not only has he helped me in so many ways but also is a great friend. The big bro I never had pretty much lol.
Other friends like Jay Kasai, Nicklaus Gray, Nabeyin, my Manager David, have inspired me so much to move forward. The list goes on but these people are the most significant for sure.
