Meet Lilou | Dancer/Community Manager/Educator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lilou and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lilou, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I pursued an artistic and creative career because it has always been at the core of who I am. With 23 years as a dancer and extensive experience in theater, comedy, musicals, crafts, drawing, music, and even poetry, I’ve explored nearly every facet of artistic expression. These diverse experiences have taught me that creativity isn’t just about performance or creation; it’s about connection, growth, and sharing stories.
Being a content creator and community manager has given me another platform to amplify creative voices and foster community engagement. Teaching children and sharing my passion with them is one of the most rewarding aspects of my journey. It’s my way of passing on the transformative power of art and helping young minds see the world with imagination, resilience, and expression. While the artistic path has its challenges, I am driven by the belief that creativity shapes lives, opens minds, and builds communities—making every step of the journey worth it.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My career has always been rooted in sharing my passion for the arts. For over five years, I have worked with children in resorts, recreation centers, and camps, introducing them to various artistic disciplines such as dance, film creation, crafts, choreography, and even staging musicals. This hands-on work has allowed me to ignite their creativity and foster confidence through artistic expression.
Parallel to this, I have developed a career in content creation, social media, and community management, where dance remains a central focus. From managing events and collaborating with influencers to building connections within artistic communities, I have shaped a versatile and dynamic professional path, primarily in Paris. Since moving to the United States, I have been rebuilding these connections, striving to expand my impact within influencer relations, content creation, community events, and brand collaborations. Though starting over has its challenges, I believe in the resilience and power of creativity to open new doors.
Looking ahead, I am excited to explore business opportunities by creating and selling children’s crafts and artistic books—an extension of my passion for making art accessible to everyone, especially young minds.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend were visiting Los Angeles, I’d make sure they had a mix of unforgettable experiences that showcase the best of LA’s artistic and cultural charm. We’d kick things off with breakfast at a classic LA spot, The Griddle Café, before diving into Hollywood’s iconic landmarks like the Walk of Fame and the TCL Chinese Theatre. As evening approaches, we’d watch the sunset from Griffith Observatory, soaking in breathtaking views of the city.
A trip to LA wouldn’t be complete without exploring Malibu. We’d take a scenic drive along the Pacific Coast Highway and stop at Malibu Pier for some breathtaking views before grabbing lunch at Malibu Farm Cafe. The day would continue with some relaxation at Zuma Beach or a hike through Solstice Canyon. For dinner, we’d treat ourselves to a special experience at Nobu Malibu, enjoying the oceanfront ambiance.
To capture the city’s vibrant beach culture, we’d spend a day at Santa Monica Pier, riding the Ferris wheel and strolling along the beach, followed by an evening at Venice Beach, soaking up the artistic energy of the area with street performers and stunning murals.
Next up would be a day dedicated to exploring Beverly Hills. We’d wander along Rodeo Drive to admire luxury boutiques and then enjoy a walk through Beverly Gardens Park. The afternoon would be spent at The Grove near Fairfax, shopping, eating, and experiencing the lively atmosphere of this iconic spot.
To round out our cultural adventure, we’d take a hike at Runyon Canyon for a bit of exercise with stunning views before spending some quiet moments in the Los Angeles Arboretum and Botanic Garden.
Throughout the trip, I’d make sure we blend iconic experiences with hidden gems, making the most of LA’s unique energy and artistic vibe.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Certainly! Here is a more concise version of your dedication:
I want to dedicate my shoutout to three key people who shaped my creative journey. First, my mother, a talented writer and multifaceted artist whose work and dedication have been my greatest inspiration.
Second, my dance teacher, Mia Frye, who showed me the transformative power of dance and pushed me to creative heights.
Lastly, my friends, content creators, who believed in me, collaborated with me, and opened doors to influencer events, TV, and theater opportunities.
