We had the good fortune of connecting with Lily Magaziner and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lily, what role has risk played in your life or career?

Starting my own business was a huge risk but we started small and kept taking bigger steps along the way. The opening of our second location is another risk for us but I believe you can only grow by taking calculated risks and challenging yourself.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?

My professional background in jewelry design and production gave me the knowledge I needed to start my own company. I left the corporate world to start my own boutique in 2014. Shortly after opening our first store, we launched a jewelry brand under the same name. We hand-make our jewelry and offer custom designs for our customers. We’re family owned and take pride in the community we’ve built up over the past seven years.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

Come visit the LAB in Costa Mesa! First stop, May Martin for the perfect gift. Next stop, Nook Coffee for the best lavender latte in town. Head to Creme Tangerine Records nestled inside a vintage airstream and Goodtown Donuts to grab a half dozen delicious vegan donuts. Great lunch options at either Seabirds or Gypsy Den!
