We had the good fortune of connecting with Linda Cassio and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Linda, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
It started with my passion of traveling. While visiting my native country of Mexico I realized how beautiful were the Artisanal products and how misrepresented these were. I decided I wanted to dedicate my self to promote and preserve this beautiful craftsmanship and sell meaningful products.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Nomah Project was born with the intention of promoting and preserving artisanal products. We not only sell our customers a product but also a story behind each product we make.

After working several years in the Fashion Industry and having also a business I realized I wanted to create something with purpose and meaning. Like everything new, starting wasn’t easy but I was very motivated by the cause. Eventually once people got familiar with our brand and our products we noticed that people were interested on buying things that supported a cause. One of the most challenging parts was definitely educating our customer, letting them know the process and how this products impact the communities of artisans and they’re families by us working with them and people buying our products. But once people heard about it, they loved it and have been very supportive!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
L..A. Is a fascinating city! The food and city vibe is amazing.

These are some of my favorite spots:

Sqirl is definitely of my favorite spots to eat breakfast or brunch, this place is amazing, unique and a must visit in LA

There are too many amazing lunch spots but if I had to choose one it would be Gjusta in Venice. I thinks is by far one of the best places to eat and hang out and get the real LA vibe!

Drinks I would do the roof top at the proper hotel. This Is a stunning hotel and the rooftop has amazing drinks and ambience.

LACMA is a great place to check out if you are visiting,

Riding a bike down the Santa Monica pier is also a fun experience and give you a great glimpse of what is is to live in this city.

Dinner I would do Madeo in Beverly Hills, it’s a classic and has exceptional food and great spot to see people.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Want to dedicate this to the many Artisans, men and women who make by hand our beautiful products and share they’re stories and traditions with us. They’re hard work and passion to preserve they’re traditions and culture is something that we treasure and are greatful for.
