We had the good fortune of connecting with Liz Svatek and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Liz, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
That women are not born Warriors… we become them. Through our resilient journeys we remember that we can do hard things. Every woman I have interviewed on the Conversations with Warrior Women Podcast has told me that they have failed, lost hope, almost given up until they chose WARRIOR. They chose to put themselves back on the list and be the woman they were supposed to be! I started this podcast at 50 years old and I am just beginning this new season of my life. It’s never to late to start something new, follow your passions, and make yourself happy!
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My podcast is called Conversations with Warrior Women. Every Wednesday, join me, Warrior Woman and Warrior Mom of 2, as I interview women who are leaping for greatness personally AND professionally. If your passion is on the back burner, your side hustle is going astray, you’ve lost your sense of humor and you forgot to put yourself on the list, this podcast is for you, because some days we are the baddest boss babe on the block, and some days we are HIDING FROM OUR FAMILIES in the closet. The Conversations with Warrior Women podcast is a place where we’ll come to hear career and life advice from some strong women who have been in the trenches. Join me week after week to be inspired, reclaim your inner warrior and make your next move towards the powerful woman you were created to be. Cheers to you, because we are going to deep dive into the real work, the laughter and tears, it takes to live your dreams!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m a Valley Girl so we would start the day at Claudines Kitchen and Bakeshop for breakfast for Churro Pancakes! Then shopping at Westfield Topanga Village- Love the vintage store there The Closet Trading Company. They have the best finds! Then onto lunch at Porta Villa in Calabassas Commons for parmesan crusted Halibut with asparagus in a beurre blanc sauce! After a long wine filled lunch on to get our nails done in Studio city at Bellacures! We add on their famous mango scrub! Time for martinis at Montys in Woodland hills. An institution that is not to be missed!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The Bra Network! (Business Relationship Alliance) At the core, Business Relationship Alliance was founded on the principles that we are strong as a collective than as individuals. When we come together as a community, standing on the shoulders of previous impactful brave women, collectively we will not only reach the glass ceiling but also break through it. Carrie Murray is the founder of BRA – Business Relationship Alliance, a network of powerful women devoted to advancing female-owned businesses by providing the community, collaboration, mentorship, empowerment and support needed to flourish as an entrepreneur. This group has supported me since the beginning and I attribute them to my success!
