We had the good fortune of connecting with Lori Traub and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lori, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
Life was hectic for myself being a full time working mom. I had little time for myself and my own self care and wellness needs, which I didn’t prioritize and knew I wasn’t alone on. The idea of making it convenient without having to leave the house and go to a salon or spa by simply having it done in my own home was something I believed was truly lacking and needed by many other than myself. Going to a salon or spa was a chore I had little time or energy for. And especially these days, adding health and safety factors to salons which was always an issue for me, even pre-pandemic. Offering high end services with highly qualified staff while being able to relax in the comfort of home was a light bulb idea I had by simply wanting it for myself and not finding others who offered, realizing a notable gap in the market. I started off with limited staff and services to get feelers of what customers wanted, and then with the increase in demand we expanded by adding additional covered locations along with additional services and staff. As you can imagine as soon as the pandemic hit we were inundated with bookings, since everyone was scared to leave the house, and we have lots of extra safety measures in place. So as many negative things that came from the pandemic, its actually been good for our business. We are currently looking to expand in to more big cities outside of New York and Los Angeles with franchising opportunities.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We provide high end on-demand (at home) spa services by a super talented team of highly qualified and licensed professionals. Staying true to the brand by maintaining maximum quality and luxury isn’t always easy but we never compromise on the quality, even if it means we profit less. Our overall mission is to help people look and feel good, especially those in need- who cant get out of the house- whether its illness/medical related, stress or time related, or just anyone in need of a pick-me-up. It makes us happy to pamper and make someone feel good about themselves. Our staff truly enjoy seeing a customer happy. Its not just providing a quick service. its all the effort and time that goes in to it. Having a solid team of service providers/professionals is where we put a large amount of efforts to and isn’t always easy, however a good team ensures a happy and satisfied customer which at the end of the day is truly most important to us.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I live on the East Coast so personally I feel like a tourist whenever I come to LA. At the top of my list is always to take a drive in to Malibu and have cocktails and dinner at NOBU. Luckily I can quite easily get a table there (which isn’t typically easy to fetch) since my husbands uncle is one of the owners . I also love walking around Cross creak/Malibu country mart for some great shopping and eating during the day. Malibu farm is also a favorite on the pier for fresh farm-to-table local food and the most incredible views. Back in the Los Angeles area I head to Rodeo Drive and Melrose to have the euphoric Pretty Woman experience.. of course 😉 For a more casual day I enjoy walking around Santa Monica and Venice Beach pier, especially Abbot Kinney for cool shopping, restaurants and art galleries. In the evening I like going to the Beverly Hills Hotel and the Polo Lounge for some star studded people watching.

Our staff/service providers who are a talented team of beauty and wellness experts ranging from massage therapists, nail techs, aestheticians, hair and makeup artists etc, are the ones who truly represent who we are. They are the true face of our brand who provide top notch services to our customers looking to relax and be pampered in their home- and without them, we wouldn’t be who we are. We are truly grateful to all our staff who provide these amazing services to our amazing customers.
