We had the good fortune of connecting with LOUHEED DANIEL and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi LOUHEED, how do you think about risk?
I think taking risk is one of the most wildest approach one can take to step upon the next stage, next level. There is different level of risk, however to challenge yourself to make it work, staying consistent may help reach success. Sometimes even sending an email can be a risk but to what goal the risk being taken makes all the difference.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
The best way I would brand myself would be: “I have the essence of Idris Elba in a suit with the accent of Djimon Hounsou- I can simply sum up as a bohemian performer! “ Half French culturally I am a in a very small group of performers who understand how challenging this can be, but that’s part of the process. So BIG risk to even attempt to follow this route. A lifetime training for this process, from elementary theatre, all the way to university. The investment is time consuming and expensive over all but we love what we love. Only a few have the gut to follow their dreams regardless the pros & cons
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
For best spots in the city varies based on what you into, but if my best friend visit….La Republique restaurant in mid-city will be my 1st stop, follow by Night Song Market for lunch. LACMA, the Getty, the Broad art museum will be included, Venice beach is a must. The fun, is lively over there. I like a good hike, Runyon Canyon and point Mugu also will make it fun. A good bike ride from West Hollywood to Malibu also set the tone for a great fun view & active sport cardio. Some bars here & there and lot of rooftop. Los Angeles is a rooftop city in my opinion. Some hotel in Santa Monica or downtown LA, like Perch rooftop, Shanghai-LA , SOHO house may be the spots to find me
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
In my field of entertainment, I will have to give a big shoutout to SAG-AFTRA. The level of support I received from the union was unbelievable.
