We had the good fortune of connecting with Louis Motte and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Louis, as a parent, what have you done for you children that you feel has had the most significant impact?
Just being there and encouraging them, a lot of it is just showing up and being in the moment, whatever it is, from playing basketball or tea time, flying imaginary spaceships to showing up to school events or taking them out and watching their minds work. It’s amazing how much you can accomplish with your kids by just being there.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ve done your most basic jobs as well as career starting opportunities but as someone who dabbled in music and artistic expression through black-book art I’ve always just wanted more, I’ve recently been showing a part of my life through social media and have gotten some amazing love and encouragement from some amazing people, I’m really excited what the future holds for me and if nothing comes from it then it’s all fine, I will continue to keep living! Honestly there has been some hardships but I feel like the only challenges that come your way are the ones that were meant for you to surpass anything can happen, but you also control what can happen around you. Just remember that how you carry yourself and what you put out in life is what defines you to a only a certain level, deep down we’re all just going through it but we all make the best of it, don’t let anybody or anything stop you!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’d love to take them to see the sights in LA from the Getty center to the beaches, from the night markets in downtown to hidden mom and pop shops in The Valley, I do admit I love going to The Boiling Crab and getting messy so I will definitely be taking them there for an experience! For some night fun we would definitely hit up General Lee’s for a night of dancing with our close ones to enjoying a drink or 4 at The Perch! From Hollywood to Long Beach there’s too many places for us to not stop by.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a huge shoutout to my wife Elizabeth for being there for me for everything I have done and been through, we’ve basically seen each other grow up, from being middle school sweethearts to being married over a decade now. She’s a huge part of me and my successes in life, I do believe there’s someone for everyone, how could I have gotten so lucky?
