Meet M. Maggie | Artist, Mogul, Superstar

We had the good fortune of connecting with M. Maggie and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi M. Maggie, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
It all began with wanting to create something that makes people feel great. I imagined how people would respond and engage with the music and art that I made and that image thrilled me.
Also, the Idea of entertaining massive amounts of people excites me all over.
I started out giving music for free, performing all over New York City and gained millions of listeners from uploading music on Soundcloud. As I saw 5 million views turn to 100 million, I knew I hit something big and I intend to give more.
Now when I write, I’m always thinking about the performance. Even before starting a song Im thinking: How will this sound in a stadium full of people and what kind of night can we all experience that will be an explosive, memorable moment in life?
That is exactly what you get. OH NAH NAH and RIDE THE WAVE are provocative, infectious celebrations of body and liberation of self. They explode with a bold fearlessness and direct the way to getting exactly what you want when you want it.
Both songs are Available now to Buy and Stream on all platforms But the real treat is live, raw and uncontained: An unforgettable night with M.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Im the artist that is exciting to watch. The music I make is very honest and relatable to those moments in life that are hard to express. My music is a gateway to freedom. Listen to the playful sassy seductions of RIDE THE WAVE and dance and command every room you walk into with the attitude of OH NAH NAH.
The song TRNDSTTR is where I began; The foundational idea of being UNIQUE and SET APART and OWNING that. I want to see people LIVING their BEAUTIFUL TRUTH. And now 195 Million streams later, the message only gets stronger. BE YOURSELF, BE BOLD, BE GREAT and give give give give give that, unapologetically.
The greatest challenge is getting out of my own way. Any obstacle is self made, a mentality. THERE IS ALWAYS A WAY. If you want it, there is a way. If you think it, it is already in formation. I function on this principle.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
LA is a beautiful place to drive around and listen to new music. I would take a food tour; pizza, burgers, tacos, seafood, Something NEW and DELICIOUS, Jump in the ocean at Malibu, walk the streets of WEHO and meet new people, Watch a new show or movie at the Artist Incorporated Headquarters in NOHO, Play Video games and stream and divulge secrets on @artistINC_twitch. If you’re really feeling fiery, go shoot paintball with some talented artist at Combat Park. Anything we do is going to be fun, that’s a guarantee.
I’m a part of a YouTube series called Food Tour Friday with Artist Incorporated. There’s about 5 episodes out of all the artists going around Los Angeles, having fun and eating at some pretty amazing spots in LA. Watch it, ENJOY and subscribe for the next adventure.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shoutout my Mentor, advisor and vocal director E. He taught me how to think about giving: what I give, how I give, the frequency of my give, and why I give. That is something to decide and his direction opened up my awareness.
He is also the biggest giver I’ve ever known and witnessed. The amount he invested in me from the moment we met to now, and the amount he gives, seen and unseen, is ridiculous. It’s a type of generosity that I greatly admire.
