Meet Ma Lia Miranda | Event Designer and Florist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ma Lia Miranda and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ma Lia, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
As the events industry started opening up again, it has been BUSY. But juggling is truly a skill I needed to learn quickly, and I still am. I just have to remember to always stay grounded and really spend time with friends and family.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
We are a design, decor, and florals company for different types of events. We also offer wedding day management for those tying the knot which makes us a one-stop shop for our couples.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Hmmm, pre-covid? We would visit the little hidden gems of LA. Try my favorite local, mom and pop restaurants in the San Gabriel Valley. And of course, if they want to visit our more popular tourist spots then why not?
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I really wouldn’t have survived building this business without my partner in life. The name of our company itself is proof of who is my rock and support. Shoutout also to my family as well as the many vendors that became friends through this journey. We are all a team and we all make beautiful happen together. #communityovercompetition
