We had the good fortune of connecting with Mara James and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mara, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
“Hurt people Hurt People” It’s time that people begin their healing journey and move from hurt, anger and resentment to compassion and towards forgiveness.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a passionate mental health advocate with a focus on children. I have healed myself, my family and several clients and now I want to inspire the world to heal and transform their lives!! I have created the Piggie Bear character as a symbol of children’s mental health & wellness to encourage children to talk about their emptions, reach out for help and to teach them SEL (social emotional learning) skills with Piggie Bear’s toolkit. We are now creating the HUGS For Life Healing Center and will bridge the gap between medical professionals and accredited holistic healers.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The beach! Starting with Dana Point’s Baby Beach to put their feet in the talcom powder-like sand followed by lunch outdoors at the Montage Hotel.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
