We had the good fortune of connecting with Marcus Quick and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Marcus, what is the most important factor behind your success?
In my opinion, the most important factor in my success is having a solid group of individuals with similar mindsets. As a Music Producer, I can only do so much and go so far by myself. I have to have several talented people around me to help me take my vision and make it a reality.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
There aren’t many things I enjoy more than making music. The fact that you can start with a blank canvas and end up potentially making something that could change your life forever is exciting to me. Two things I think set me apart from a lot of other people in my field are the facts that I’m willing to go out and talk to people face to face as opposed to only talking over the internet. Building meaningful relationships is key from what I’ve learned so far in my music journey. The other advantage I would say I have is that I have my own commercial studio space where artists can come and just try stuff out and be as creative as possible. As far as what I have achieved thus far I have a a pretty big placement coming out soon. This will be my first major placement and I have to thank “TwoCeez” for giving me the opportunity.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My best friend makes music so THE FIRST place I would take them would be to the Studio so we can make something. Shortly after, we would grab a bite to eat at one of my favorite local spots “Taverna Costera” I’d show them around the Las Vegas Strip of course. To finish the day off I would stop by the “You Know What It Is” podcast so my friend could meet everyone.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are a few people I would love to shoutout, Firstly my biggest supporter in everything that I do, my wife. I also want to thank my friends, Kenyadda, Neon Nick, Chris Crooks, Two-Ceez and the “You Know What It Is” Podcast. without them a lot of my success wouldn’t be possible.
