Meet Marie-Sophie Kindle | Actress

We had the good fortune of connecting with Marie-Sophie Kindle and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Marie-Sophie, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
There was something in my body that just knew I had to do something creative, it was as if I had this void and my inner voice was telling me to fill it with my creativity. So, I did. I went to acting school to see if it was meant for me and that’s when I knew there was nothing in this world that I wanted to do more. It’s this feeling that I crave so much in the art of acting: This feeling of being so in tune with your character that you can lose yourself in that character, not thinking of what they would do next, but just “being” them. You and the character become one. And suddenly, your mind goes quiet.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
A thing I love about acting: you could have 10 actors working on the same script and every single performance is going to be different. The character is brought to life through how “I” do my work. I tell the story in a way no one else can since no one has the same mind as me, and therefore doesn’t take the same risks that I do. My journey has been anything from easy, and I’m pretty sure it will continue to be a bumpy road: ups and downs are just part of the journey. I try to remind myself that after every down, there is an up, and I just have to keep going.
One lesson that I learned is: “What is meant for you, will simply find you.” You might like a role that you are auditioning for but in the end, don’t get the part. Most of the time it has nothing to do with your performance or talent but just simply because it wasn’t meant for you. So instead of talking down, and judging yourself thinking you’re not good enough, let it go. “NO” means next opportunity, so let’s try again.
I am someone who does not shy away from challenges. I might be scared of it but I will try, and give it my all. The feeling of overcoming something challenging is indescribable, and it’s an opportunity to grow as an actor, and more importantly, as a person.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would start the day right -LA style- by going on a hike (I love the hike to the Griffith Observatory or the Runyon Canyon hike, it’s a classic), followed by grabbing coffee and going out for breakfast. One of my favorite places to grab breakfast from: is Community Goods, their breakfast sliders are indeed delicious. And their coffee, too. Highly recommend. After that, I would show her the Hollywood Sign and the Walk of Fame, must-sees, even though they are slightly overrated. Then, we would walk around the Grove, I would show her the Farmer’s Market, and on the way to the beach, we would drive through Beverly Hills.
We would walk along Venice Beach, spend some time tanning, and then head over to the Santa Monica Pier to ride some fun roller coasters and take photo booth pictures. Next, we would grab dinner from HiHo Burger. One of the best burgers in town and their milkshakes are just WOW! Ending the night at the Griffith Observatory overlooking the city of angels, while watching the sunset.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My shoutout goes to everyone who is supporting me in following my dreams: my family and friends – specifically my dad for always believing in me and supporting me in every way he can AND my sisters who always have my back and keep motivating me, especially on those days where I feel like this journey is impossible.
