We had the good fortune of connecting with Martaveous Holliday and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Martaveous, we’d love to hear more about your end-goal, professionally.
The end goal is to make sure I create clothing that a lot of people love and want to wear. I want to work with a big company like Nike,Adidas or New Balance to collaborate on new designs preferably shoes.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Im most proud of the support we have received from having a store that is aesthetically driven. I decided I wanted to open a brick and mortar store when I graduated from college.
I knew I wanted to pursue fashion but at the time I was not sure how that looked.
I ran into a lot of issues trying to find the right location but it just took patients.
I learned that you can’t rush anything in business if you want everything correct and precise.
I want the world to know that my store & clothing are inspired from nature.
Open Air Vintage is an aesthetically driven store with curated clothing, exclusive sneakers, plants and accessories. We strive to be economically friendly, as over half of the items in our store are second-hand, including a wide variety of vintage t-shirts and outerwear. Our one-of-a-kind shoe wall carries a curated selection of Nikes and Adidas sneakers, which we sell online as well.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take my friend to breakfast at this place called Breakfast bar in Downtown Long Beach. The bar has the best chicken and waffle meal in So Cal. I would then take my friend to shop on 2nd and 4th street.
The final place on my list to end the day would be this restaurant called the Attic which has a unique mac and cheese meal that also includes hot Cheetos inside of it, it’s delicious!
