We had the good fortune of connecting with Matthew Jones and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Matthew, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Taking risks is necessary for growth. I put my business into high gear in 2020 – a risk in itself. My original plans for aspects of my business had to shift. At that point I became curious and tried new tactics by launching a fully remote podcast studio, and focusing on videos for essential and small businesses. I didn’t know if it would work. If I got a no – oh well, I tried. But taking a risk gives the opportunity for a yes – and when you land that yes it’s incredible and the first step to living in your purpose.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
In everything I make, not only do I work to make it beautiful – but I strive for everything that I do to have a purpose for the good as well. My brand is excellent work – for good. With each client we work with, their brand has an underlying mission. From Black Lives Matter (all day and every day), to sustainability, excellent career advice, elevating minority voices, and more. What I am most proud about is our give back program. Each client who works with us, and every referral receives a gift card to donate to the charity of their choice – over 1.8 million to choose from. What I want the world to know about me, and my company is that we partner with your vision to make the best creative work possible, while giving back to the world.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
An ideal day in LA would include getting a taste of everything that the city has to offer. I would start the day with an easy hike at Los Liones Canyon Trailhead which is a great hike in the Santa Monica Mountains with the payoff of a beautiful ocean view. of Malibu and Santa Monica. I would then drive through the winding roads of Sunset to get a great brunch at WeHo Bistro in West Hollywood. After that I would invite a couple of friends to a great lounging park such as Coldwater Canyon park in Beverly Hills. After a time to refresh, we’d have rooftop sunset drinks and then a great dinner at Night Market. Of course all of these things are post-covid, but I know we will get back to this again

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to dedicate my success to the executive life coaches at Novus Global I’ve had in the past – David Gerber and Janet Wood, and my current coach – Johan Khalilian. When I started coaching I was full of ideas and potential and working with them helped me become stronger and more focused. With that base I have learned to become curious and take risks to push me past what I thought was possible. The result of this work has been the ability to secure solid career moves, launch my business, and allowing me the comfort to be able to look fear in the face – and move past it to get to my goals.
