We had the good fortune of connecting with Maxine Davis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Maxine, what makes you happy? Why?
So much has changed in the last year. 2020 hit us all like a ton of bricks. We were all stripped from our daily luxuries and what many of us though were true necessities. In a way, it’s been a blessing in disguise. We have been pushed to see the beauty in simply being. What used to make me happy doesn’t even hold a candle to what brings me joy now. I’m a new mom of a handsome baby boy named Phoenix. Looking at his face everyday these past couple months has brought me a feeling of happiness that I never knew could truly exist. I am truly honored that the Universe blessed my partner, Sam, and I with him.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a Singer – Songwriter and Healer. My debut album will be out on all platforms on May 14th. It’s titled Heart Cries & Goodbyes. This album is the result of a three-year journey of self-discovery as an artist and a woman. It is a very honest depiction of love in all its forms. I can’t wait for everyone to hear it!

My healing company Crystal Eyes Healing (www.crystaleyeshealing.com) is one I started back in 2015. Some of the offerings include: Crystals, Healings, Jewelry, Intuitive Readings, Courses, Books, Candles, and so much more! Everything presented through Crystal Eyes Healing is filled with powerful love made to spark an electrifying transformation.

I guess what makes me different from most is that I do not allow this city, one that thrives off competition, to get to me. Through my art, or any of my offerings, I want to be able to connect with others through the airways and in person. I am lucky enough to have a great collective of people in my corner to collaborate with on so many levels. My goal has and always will be to touch people deeply as they move through this crazy voyage called life. If I can just make one person’s day better through my voice, lyrics, message, or energy, I am doing something right!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Ok, I am imagining this trip happening pre-COVID! Some of my closest friends live all over the country so yearly best-friend trips have taking place since I first moved here. Sadly, that tradition wasn’t able to happen last year so I am hoping it can come to be over the next few months!

First spot I would take them is Malibu Seafoods! We all looove seafood and that spot has some of the best ever! Then, we would head to Paradise Cove to spend some time in the sun and sip on some delicious coconut drinks. After, we would check out the Melrose Flea market because who doesn’t love shopping and people watching! Next, we would make a quick stop at House of Intuition. Whenever I am near their shop I have to check out what Crystals and candles they have available. Finally, we would head home, dress up, and make our way to one of my favorite night-time spots, Delilah, for drinks and amazing Jazz music! Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I wouldn’t be here without my family! Their support, tough advice, and unconditional love are what keep me going daily!
