Meet Mayra Franco-Commodore | Activations Director

We had the good fortune of connecting with Mayra Franco-Commodore and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mayra, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process really came from wanting to create something of my own while bringing joy to people. I’ve always loved being part of celebrations and I saw how a Photo Booth could elevate those moments and create lasting memories. What started as a small idea turned into a passion for building experiences, not just providing a service. Over time, it grew into something bigger, helping brands and clients connect with their guests in a fun and meaningful way.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is all about creating experiences, not just photos. We focus on capturing real moments in a way that feels elevated, intentional, and memorable. Whether it’s a wedding or a brand activation, everything we do is designed to tell a story and make people feel something.
What sets us apart is how we combine creativity with purpose. From studio style portraits to AI watercolor prints, we’re always looking for ways to push beyond the traditional photo booth and create something unique.
Getting here wasn’t easy. It took years of consistency, learning on the go, and pushing through challenges. But those moments taught me to trust the process, take risks, and keep growing.
At the end of the day, I want people to know that this brand is built on passion, resilience, and a genuine love for creating meaningful experiences.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting for a week, I’d plan a mix of fun, food, and the places that feel like home to me. We’d start with a great dinner at VIM Thai Restaurant, a spot I’ve been going to since I was a kid and one my whole family loves.
Of course, we’d spend a full day at Disneyland Park enjoying the rides, snacks, and ending the night with fireworks, it’s pure nostalgia and happiness for me. I’d also take them to Santa Monica Pier to walk along the beach, soak in the sunset and just enjoy the laid back vibe.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost, my parents. They built a life from the ground up and showed me what hard work, sacrifice, and resilience really look like. Everything I do is rooted in the foundation they created for me.
To my husband and business partner, Morgan, thank you for being in this with me every step of the way. From late nights to early mornings, and every event in between, your support, belief, and work ethic have helped turn this vision into a real business.
I also want to recognize our team. None of this is possible without the people behind the scenes and on-site making sure every event runs smoothly. Their dedication and attention to detail truly represent our brand.
And of course, our clients, especially the companies and couples who have trusted us with their events. Whether it’s a wedding or a large-scale brand activation, each opportunity has helped us grow, refine our craft, and push our creativity further.
It really takes a village, and I’m grateful for every single person who’s been part of this journey.
