We had the good fortune of connecting with McCauley Tawpash and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi McCauley, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
After struggling with my own health issues, I decided to start my own business so I could help people who are in similar situations that I was once in.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?

I’m an Integrative holistic health coach, wellness chef, photographer, and recipe developer. I have a passion for good quality food, conscious living, and helping others. I found inspiration in becoming a health coach after facing my own health struggles. My love for food and serving others led me to culinary school where I learned to use “food as medicine” to heal the body. After graduating from The Natural Gourmet Institute and The Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City, I combined my passions into a career.

Today, I coach clients through my private practice, cook for wellness retreats and private clients, photograph and develop recipes, and work with brands as a content creator.

I think something that sets me apart is my wide range of skill sets from cooking, health coaching, recipe development and photography.

I got to where I am today by continuing to say yes to different opportunities and consistently learning new things about food, health, and wellness. It has not been easy to get to where I am today but I’m so glad I’ve stuck with this career path and I plan to continue growing, learning and helping others.
I think the biggest lesson I’ve learned along the way is to just say yes to new opportunities. Although, it might feel scary and uncomfortable at times when you put yourself outside of your comfort zone that’s where growth and expansion happen!

My intention is to inspire, educate, support others and make a positive impact in the world!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Annemarie Colbin, Ph.D. who is the founder of the Natural Gourmet Institute has been a huge inspiration to me. After reading her books and attending the chef’s training program at the Natural Gourmet Institute in New York City, this is where I began my journey of using food as medicine and helping people heal through food!
