We had the good fortune of connecting with Michael Evans and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Michael, how do you think about risk?
Taking risk is what i live for there’s a wealth of knowledge you can obtain betting on yourself the outcome isn’t always certain, All my decisions are also calculated using sound judgement I believe in there’s “no risk no reward” fear is low vibrational energy. My thoughts are keep in a positive places to produce the result I desire. it’s like learning to fly it sound crazy until you do it. For instance when I first moved to L.A. to start our company. I had 1500 dollars in my account and one-way plane ticket. I told my self there no turning back if you really want this you’ll figure it out, At the time I’m was a recent college grad no work experience aka ex-college football player from Thee Jackson State University. My thoughts on the decision to move was, there’s bigger opportunity and you got be where it happen. Here I am in sunny Los Angeles so the risk worked out pretty good.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Dreamfree is the mindset of an individual. who circumstances will not limit their ability to dream bigger. Founded in Philadelphia with along with my co-founder Antoine Stout we decided the life we seen as adolescence wasn’t the narrative we wanted to write for ourself. Placing us on journey to find that change. We have testimonies the experiences, failure and success of other who have and are pursing to become entrepreneur. Sharing and connecting learning from other people and become an inspiration to their communities and evolving as human being. A creative agency impacting entertainment, sports and technology Dreamfree redefining the culture
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
There’s so many beautiful place in LA from Malibu to the south bay. The one that is nearest to my heart is Leimirt Park. There’s since of acceptance I felt once I became apart of this community of artist, business owner and community leaders. One of my favorite meeting place is Hot and Cool cafe. I would gather with The League LA a we are a group of local entrepreneur who created a community to support one another and the community. With so many community being gentrified in Los Angeles Leimirt park remains and is re-shapes to the changes.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Neal Pouge my mentor also the winner of “best rap album of the year” at last years Grammys for Tyler the Creators “Igor”album. I have learned so much from him I appreciate his friendship the most he has helped in so many other way, Also his son Neal “TuTu” Pouge Jr I would have never been introduced to his father if it wasn’t for him. I forever grateful for there love and support, My co-founder Antoine Stout has always been supportive of the vision and believed that we can come out on the other end, of any circumstance that was place on us.
