Meet Michelle Vigueras | 1oPerformance Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Michelle Vigueras and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Michelle, what do you attribute your success to?
Being strong minded and diligent. Believing to the fullest in my brand .

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My passion for soccer started when i was just 6 years old. My father started coaching a rec-league at Lanark Park in Canoga. I enjoyed playing every sat very much and eventually went into club soccer. Growing up and not having enough money to play so i had to basically be sponsored to participate, I would feel obligated to out work and always perform for my coaches/dad. Being a low income kid growing up, once i grew up and was able to give back to my community i did. I started an affordable soccer club for Latino inner city kids that couldn’t afford club fees, did back to school events , and now currently built a facility where kids can enjoy and Strive for greatness at a super low cost.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting LA for the week, I’d make sure they got a true taste of everything this city does best, starting with street tacos, of course. We’d kick things off with a beach day in Venice or Malibu to soak up the sun and LA energy, followed by sunset drinks at Harriet’s rooftop bar at the 1 Hotel, there’s nothing like those skyline views. Throughout the week, we’d hit up some of my favorite taco spots like Leo’s or Sonoratown (because no LA trip is complete without them), and catch an LAFC game at BMO Stadium, the atmosphere there is electric, especially if you’re in the North End with the 3252 supporter group. We’d mix it up with some theme park days too—Universal Studios for movie magic and maybe a Disneyland run for nostalgia. In between all that, we’d explore cool neighborhoods like the Arts District or Abbot Kinney, grab brunch at spots like Gjusta or Great White, and spend our nights checking out rooftop bars or laid-back lounges. LA has this perfect mix of energy and chill, and I’d want my friend to experience that balance—from the beaches to the tacos to the buzzing city nights.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My wife and my younger brother for always supporting and standing behind my crazy ideas.
