Meet Milana Lebedeva

We had the good fortune of connecting with Milana Lebedeva and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Milana, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My true purpose behind starting my own business was freedom — creative freedom, professional freedom, and the ability to build something that reflects who I am. I wanted to create a space where people feel cared for, seen, and beautiful. For me, it was never just about hair; it was about helping people feel confident and transforming their day, their mood, their energy.
Growing up, I watched how much dedication and passion my family put into their work, and that inspired me to build something of my own with the same level of heart. My business became a place where I could pour all my experience, my personality, and my love into what I do every day.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business was built from passion, resilience, and the belief that beauty can truly change how a person feels. I came to the U.S. from Uzbekistan and had to rebuild everything from the ground up. It wasn’t easy, but every challenge pushed me to grow.
What sets my salon apart is the personal approach. I listen, I care, and I treat every client like family. Their trust and loyalty are what I’m most proud of. My family has also played a huge role, whose dedication inspires me daily.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that kindness, consistency, and staying true to yourself always lead to success. My brand is built with love, and my mission is simple: to help people feel confident, beautiful, and understood.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend came to visit me in Los Angeles for a week, I would create a mix of iconic places, great food, and the real local LA vibe.
Day 1 – Welcome to LA
We’d start in Malibu with a peaceful beach morning and brunch at Malibu Farm. The ocean there sets the tone for the whole trip.
Day 2 – Beverly Hills & Rodeo Drive
We’d walk around Rodeo Drive, get coffee at Urth Caffé, and enjoy a beautiful dinner at Il Pastaio. It’s the perfect mix of luxury and people-watching.
Day 3 – Hollywood & Sunset Strip
A fun day with the Hollywood sign viewpoint, then a night out on Sunset Boulevard—maybe The Nice Guy or Catch LA for dinner and good music.
Day 4 – Relaxing LA Style
A spa day or sauna, then a visit to The Grove for shopping, ice cream, and photos. Dinner at Mastro’s for a classic LA steakhouse experience.
Day 5 – Santa Monica & Venice
Walk the Santa Monica Pier, rent bikes, explore Venice Beach, and have lunch at Elephante with ocean views.
Day 6 – North Hollywood & Local Favorites
I’d show them my neighborhood: cozy cafés, the Arts District, and of course my salon—where all the LA beauty magic happens. Dinner at one of my favorite sushi spots.
Day 7 – Griffith Observatory & Sunset Views
We’d finish the trip with a sunset at Griffith Observatory—one of the most beautiful places in the city—and a relaxed dinner somewhere simple and cozy.
For me, the magic of Los Angeles is a mix of nature, food, creative people, and that feeling that anything is possible. Showing these places to someone I love would be the perfect week.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Absolutely. My journey wouldn’t be what it is without the support of my family. I grew up surrounded by discipline, passion, and hard work, and those values shaped everything I do today. My parents’ dedication and determination have always inspired me to push forward and believe in myself.
And I want to give a very special shoutout to my clients. Their trust, loyalty, and support truly built my business. Every person who sits in my chair becomes part of my story. I’m grateful for every conversation, every moment, and every connection.
My success is a reflection of the people who believed in me — my family, my brother, and my amazing clients.
