We had the good fortune of connecting with Missy Toy Ozeas and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Missy, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I think my brand is successful because I’m just a regular person. I’m practical but I also happen to have rather “woo-woo” intuitive gifts! So it’s like having your best friend or sister as your guide into the spiritual realm. Also, I like to laugh. So we have fun while we are taking a deep dive into healing.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I have an energy healing business but I really see healing as an art form. It’s the Art of Intuitive Healing. I have been trained in many different healing modalities, but even if two people have the same training, they will be very different healers because we all have different natural gifts and talents, different life experiences, and different ways that we communicate with others and with Spirit.
My main intuitive gift is clairvoyance or “clear sight”. So as a child I could see energy or “ghosts” which made for some pretty good family stories! Today, my gift of clairvoyance helps me see energy patterns and specific trapped emotions and limiting beliefs that are stuck in a person’s body. And being able to see these things, helps me quickly pinpoint exactly what is blocking a person from achieving what they desire whether that is starting their own dream business, having a baby, or finding a life partner.
The biggest obstacle to fully owning my gifts as a healer and then creating a successful business was my fear of being seen. I’m still working on this! It’s scary to come out in public and to people you know saying you are a healer. I was afraid people would think I was crazy! But what really helped me step out is the fact that I saw incredible results and I realized that although my gifts are not mainstream, I really can help other people. And that’s my biggest wish. I just want to be of service and make a difference in the world.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting Los Angeles, I would take them to the Griffith Park Observatory, to a picnic and a concert at the Hollywood Bowl or the Greek Theater, to see the poppies bloom in Lancaster (let’s say it’s spring!). walk through Descanso Gardens, visit the Getty Center, see a show at the Pantages, walk through Chinatown and Little Tokyo, and go to Malibu for a walk on the beach and lunch at Neptune’s Net. We’d also have brunch at Manuela in the Arts District downtown and see the chickens there. And then, of course, eat dim sum in San Gabriel Valley or at Din Tai Fung!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Kathryn Schiff is one of my favorite teachers and mentors. She is a wonderful, heart-centered healer.
