We had the good fortune of connecting with Molly Delgado and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Molly, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
With any career or hobby, I think the most important questions are: Is this satisfying a need in me? Am I bettering the lives of others? If the answer to either one of those questions is “yes”, it’s worth doing. If the answer to both is yes, then it’s essential to keep going!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I work full-time as a legal consultant, which is both rewarding and draining. I decided a few years ago that I desperately needed a creative outlet – a way for me to scratch an itch I wasn’t able to reach at my 9-to-5. I started my style blog via Instagram (@mollylouloves) and although it’s stressful at times in its own way, it’s been a major source of energy for me. It’s not necessarily in my nature to put myself “out there” (hello, fellow introverts!), but I’ve found so much satisfaction in developing my virtual voice, expressing myself via artistic media (style, photography, and content creation), and honing my “craft”.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Pasadena is a must for me! I love the Huntington Library & Gardens – I would definitely take a visitor there and devote a day to exploring the gardens and exhibits. I love their tea room for brunch and the dumpling and noodle house for an afternoon snack or early dinner. I also love to grab a matcha and croissant or sandwich at Float anytime I’m in the area. And Little Beast has a great vibe for dinner.

You can’t spend time in LA and not check out some of the amazing museums. The Broad is always a favorite, and when I visit, I love to eat at Otium, the restaurant next door. I also love LACMA, as cliché as that might be. It’s iconic LA! The Hammer Museum always features up-and-coming talent and cutting edge exhibits, usually with a strong social or political commentary. The Getty is another favorite and I could easily spend the whole day wandering the grounds. I’m such a museum nerd… hopefully my visitors share the passion or else they’re going to hate me!

I usually do my own nails (it’s therapeutic, I swear!), but Olive & June and Côte are my go-tos for a little pampering. I love their chic answer to the typical mani-pedi experience. I’m also a huge fan of the facials at Skin Laundry! It’s a laser facial, so not exactly a relaxing experience, but your skin will be glowing! And then maybe head to The Now in Santa Monica for a massage!

A day in Venice is a must, also. Walking the canals is one of my favorite things to do, and there are so many great restaurants – I couldn’t even pick a favorite if I tried!

This is getting a little ramble-y and I could go on and on – we haven’t even gotten to music or nightlife! – so I’m just going to cut myself off before this gets too long. But as a food-lover I have to share a few other eateries I’d definitely work into the itinerary: Nickel Diner is my go-to for a good diner-style breakfast. And Bluestone Lane in WeHo is another favorite of mine for brunch or a coffee date. Mantee Cafe in Studio City is a gem! Armenian cuisine done right. And can’t forget – churros at Happy Days Cafe in Sherman Oaks! Mmmmmm… my mouth is watering…

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I consider myself very fortunate that my husband, family, and close friends are the best hype-people around. I know that’s not the case for many – I can’t even imagine trying to pursue my passion on top of a full-time career without that kind of support.
