We had the good fortune of connecting with Molly Elizabeth and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Molly, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
My work-life balance has definitely changed over the years. At the core, I am working 24/7, but it doesn’t feel like work because I am doing what I love. Staying busy and always having something on my calendar keeps me working toward my goals on a consistent basis. Nowadays, being able to work from our phones truly allows the “work anywhere” lifestyle to become easy. I think balance is finding what excites you to get up every day – and it can change on a yearly, weekly, or daily basis.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
From a real estate perspective, I love to bring together my design experience with my analytical capabilities. Not only am I able to find my client their dream home, but also one that reflects their personal taste. I can on top of that offer my interior design and organization input. The hardest part is balancing all my areas of interest, but I think knowing that you don’t have to copy a specific career trajectory and constantly “try new ways of doing things”, has allowed me to grow in ways I never imagined.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would most likely take them to a weekend getaway in Solvang – its a nice escape from the city of LA, but only a few hours drive up the coast. The Landsby is an amazing hotel (very cute Swedish-inspired interiors). The hotel restaurant is amazing and their chocolate cake is a must-have!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Someone that deserves credit is my mom! She does so much for me and always have in my career! From endless travel days from fashion week to now getting her proofing abilities – she is amazing.
