We had the good fortune of connecting with Monica Linda and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Monica, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Being naive isn’t a negative part to starting a business. I actually fee it is what makes people move forward and take risks, they don’t overthink it, or talk themselves out of it. They do it because of one thing. They want to! 

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
How did I get here today? To the place where o have consistently for 3 years made more than 6 figures a year? By taking risks, a lot of tears, getting into rooms of people better than me and investing in my mindset. I’ve learned 2 major things 1. Be nice to everyone you met. Everyone!!! 2. Be generous with your time & information There are a lot of new businesses that need you to show me how you did it. To encourage them to go one more day and then get up tomorrow and do it one more day more. I want the world to know that Girl Squad Photography & Film was created for the women that longs to be seen, the women who is ready to step forward. I want them to know, this is not the lifetime to stay hidden, but to step forth, be seen & rise. During this time, we are part of a group of women who agreed to be here at this time in history to heal ourselves & this planet.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my bestie was visiting LA, I would have already researched the most luxurious and gorgeous places here where we could have brunch, hotels where we could stay and take mid day naps followed by dinner reservations that required our prettiest outfits and best makeup ever!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Shoutout to all the women that believed in my dream to show women their transformation is possible. If it wasn’t for all the women who purchased with me years ago, I would not be here today. Cheers to all the small business women who believed in Girl Squad!
