We had the good fortune of connecting with Monica Yates and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Monica, alright, let’s jump in with a deep one – what’s you’re definition for success?
I define success as being able to climb into bed with a full heart and a smile on your face. I define it as waking up in the morning being excited for what the day has in store, having freedom to do what you want with your days (most of the time), looking in the mirror and being happy and proud with the person that you see, having your heart overflowing with love, being loved and loving someone else. I define success as being proud of what you do day-to-day, being able to live your life on your terms and always being able to put your personal life ahead of your professional life.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My name is Monica Yates. I’m a trauma healer, feminine/masculine embodiment coach and period whisperer. I’m also the podcast host of Feminine As F*ck, editor of UNEDITED magazine and an influencer. At the age of only 25, I’ve built a name for myself as an expert within this realm, as well as a million dollar company. My mission is to help women clear trauma so they can step into their magnetic feminine energy, as well as help men feel ecstasy and intimacy in the bedroom.

There’s no one else that I’m aware of in the industry that has linked the effect of trauma and your subconscious beliefs to period issues. Yes, it’s politically incorrect some of the stuff that I talk about, but people love it and I’m proud of it. I voice what many people are thinking, but are too afraid to say at the risk of unsettling the status quo. I’m fearless in my ambition to talk about important but taboo topics.

I’m proud of the fact that I have helped hundreds of women get their periods back and heal their trauma that five years of talk therapy couldn’t even touch the surface on. Ultimately, my clients lasting results are my biggest achievement. There’s nothing better than when I receive a message a year later saying they feel amazing and free of their trauma. I’ve helped thousands of women heal their cycle, reconnect with their period, break their trauma cycles and no longer be triggered by their past. I’m not proud of this as a statistic, but the fact that I have helped these women on such a deep level that five years of talk therapy couldn’t even touch the surface on. I’m excited to be writing my first book, I can’t wait to get this on bookshelves and out into the world!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I can confidently say that I live in the best city in the world – NYC, and for this reason I always have friends visiting and a long list of recommendations which I’d be happy to share with you too 😉

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
People always ask me who the inspiration behind my success is, and as cocky as it sounds, I am my own inspiration. My future dreams are my inspiration. I’m not trying to be anyone else, I’m just being me and this makes achieving all my goals and aspirations happen with such ease and pleasure. I think my company not only stands out, but succeeds because I don’t do anything by the book. If something doesn’t align with my values, if it doesn’t flow or I don’t want to do something, it’s simple — I won’t. So I urge everyone, find inspiration in your own dreams, because that’s where the beauty lies, and where you’ll find the secret to success.
