We had the good fortune of connecting with Nacho Colombini and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nacho, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I was born in Neuquén, a city located in Patagonia, in the south of Argentina. My upbringing took place in a town called Piedra del Águila, with just 3500 inhabitants. From a young age, I had the privilege of receiving education, which I consider fundamental as it opened my mind and helped me think.

I thank God for having had the opportunity to achieve many of my dreams and goals since childhood. I firmly believe that my background was crucial in this journey. Not everything came easily to me; I come from a reality where everything requires extra effort. Nowadays, I am grateful for those experiences as they taught me to value every small achievement I obtain.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a session musician and I play the drums. What sets me apart from others is my versatility and ability to adapt to any situation, both musically and personally. My empathetic nature helps me avoid conflicts and I always strive to transmit positive energy and motivation.

My journey to where I am today has been the result of hard work and perseverance. I have invested a lot of time in studying and cultivating relationships that go beyond the professional and become friendships. After all, we are all here to enjoy ourselves while we work, aren’t we?

The road hasn’t been easy, especially due to the emotional, economic, and occupational ups and downs inherent in this profession. The most challenging part has been learning to enjoy the journey beyond reaching the goals, to fully live in the present. It’s something I strive for every day.

I’ve learned that talent is important, but perseverance is even more crucial. I’ve seen many talented individuals give up, while others less gifted have achieved their goals thanks to their perseverance and social skills (something very important).

If there’s one thing I want the world to know about me, it’s that, no matter how humble your beginnings, you can achieve whatever you set your mind to. I often think back to the small-town boy who dreamed of being a professional drummer and playing on big stages around the world. Now, looking back, it’s hard to believe that all of that has happened. I would love to be an inspiration to others.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Living in Boston, Massachusetts, I consider this city a fascinating destination from any perspective. To offer my best friend an unforgettable experience, I would start with a leisurely stroll through the most picturesque spots in the city, such as downtown, the Boston Common, and Cambridge.

To enjoy some delicious Italian cuisine, I would take him to dinner at one of the restaurants in the North End neighborhood, known for its delightful culinary options. On another day of the week, we could venture out for some snowboarding in Killington, as it’s an activity that I personally love.

And of course, we wouldn’t miss out on Boston’s music scene. There’s always a live concert happening in a bar or concert hall, so we would definitely join in on the fun and music.

In summary, the idea would be to spend a week filled with fun, good food, and exciting experiences.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?

I believe there were several key things in my life. Firstly, my parents, who supported me from my childhood to pursue my passions. Their words of encouragement and their example were fundamental in my development. Then, my siblings and closest friends, who were always there to give me advice and push me forward in moments of doubt. Their unconditional support has been invaluable.

Of course, I cannot forget to mention my wife, who since we met has become a fundamental pillar in my life. Her love, understanding, and constant support have been a beacon of light in difficult times and have multiplied the joy in good times.

Beyond people, I am deeply grateful to God. It has been He who has guided me and opened doors that I couldn’t even imagine. His constant provision and guidance have been a source of strength and hope on my path to success.
